Its "nobody loves me, everybody hates me, think I'll eat some worms...big fat juicy ones, slip slop slimy ones watch them squiggle and squirm, bite their heads off, suck their guts out, throw their skins away...everybody wonders how I live on 3 fat worms a day.

perhaps she's just making u sweat?

I say we choose the nearest martyr and re-enact this auspicious day , that fills the coffers of the card manufacturers, twee verse writers and of course, as wheezer pointed out, the postal service!

The post has been and gone @ my house - I wasn't expecting any cards at all! I got my pay-slip, which was cool enough.

I'm at Uni right now, waiting to go into a dull lecture.... there is a fella @ my uni that I fancy the pants off (I HAVE DONE SINCE THE 1ST YEAR!!!) , but I'm not going to be silly and tell him today - that would just be L.A.M.E

Anyway - Happy Valentine's day people - Much love to you all

I agree, D_G, it would be lame to have the timing forced by commercialism.

No Valentine for me...

I am too often the "Elaine" character (re: Seinfeld)-

Tough always being "one of the guys" all of the time...

Patience... right? Love will find me one day...

until then...

I left the office last night with a few colleagues for an after work drink and my bosses PA pipes up “Will one of you guys get me a Valentine’s card tomorrow” So I’m listening to the radio last night and they’re going through what’s in the papers and they say the Sun has got a cut out of a dozen red roses, so I got that for her – as a joke – trouble is she’s acting like its real now, this is in spite of the fact that she has made it quite clear that she’s having nothing to do with anyone at work – I was talking with one of my mates, she’s definitely ‘high maintenance’ and I’m not even her boyfriend…

Then, there was some years ago, I was madly in love with this girl, but I came to realize a bit hung up on appearances – her appearance and those of others around her – probably to do with self esteem (in spite of her being really quite cute). But anyway I went through this phase of being madly attracted to her, but she was having none of it, she was shacked up with this dickhead who she had fancied since she was about 12, and who had finally decided to go out with her, only after going out with most of her friends and generally treated her like shit.

But there obviously being nothing like the sharp pang of unrequited love, I ploughed on regardless. I was on a big 3 month skive having burnt out from my previous job and she invited me round for coffee on St Valentines Day, so I got her some Tulips and some cakes – gets there and she’s raging cos her dick head piece of shit boyfriend hadn’t got her anything – and there I was with the goods – ha ha didn’t he look like the big man.

I heard he was totally pissed off. His excuse was he didn’t have any money and started calling her a slag, saying I must be fucking her and the like. But he’d never say owt to me, cos I clearly look like a big scary shaven headed pimp and he was some idiot who ran a clubwear shop… So you can guess what he looked like – in fact I bumped into the bird in question in TK Max, she was totally bored, apparently numb nuts had spent the last two hours trying to pick a pair of trousers out – from TK Max (it’s a bit like K-Mart).

Any way don’t want this to appear as bitterness, cos it aint, its just funny, I mean how can any bloke spend so long looking for trousers in a shop like TK Max, that his girlfriend is actually standing around bored shitless… it takes the cake if you ask me… I probably should have asked her if she fancied trying on a few designs of mine in the changing rooms…

Hmm, there’s nothing like a bit of romance on St Valentines Day…

So you mean by 'high maintenance' that she's mental then ?

If I did a ratio of non-mental to mental women that I have met in my life (so far) it'd be around

20:80

I reckon.

Furry muff.

I'd say 99% then. And I'm thinking of my mum as the 1%.

But even then she'd do summat mental every now and again.

So 100% is fair I think.

They lull you in by acting normal and then just when you feel comfortable, WHAM, extreme mentalness sets in.
