Hi,

Skam have just released a new CD/12" by a band called Mean.

Comes with a DVD too. Well worth checking out, especially if you like Autechre/Gescom type stuff ...

The DVD that comes with is it quite impressive and the soundtrack is in 5.1 surround (although I haven't tried that yet).

Just to add ... Found this on the Warp website ...

Skam's debut DVD release : This is the long awaited audio/visual project from MEAM, the 3 member collective that includes the reputed visual artist Michael England. In their original BUBBLE incarnation, and now as MEAM, they supplied the beautiful visuals seen at Skam events worldwide, including London NESH 2001 and The Lighthouse Party in 2000; the 24 minute long DVD contains some elements previewed at these events. The CD/Vinyl is nearly 30 minutes long, and the music definitely stands up to the high quality of Skam's current output - comparable to the best of Team Doyobi, Quinoline and Freeform.

The CD version is a beautifully packaged audio CD/DVD double pack (see the fold out image from the cd HERE http://www.warprecords.com/image.php?id=3708/ , while the vinyl comes with the DVD inside the sleeve.

NB THIS DVD IS PAL ONLY - IT WILL NOT PLAY IN MOST NTSC FORMAT DVD PLAYERS, BUT WILL PLAY IN MAC/PC DVD DRIVES
