well, it happened that next week in tuesday i'll be in paris for a week and so... don't know nothing about the town and especially what i'm interested of..
can some of you recommend me a good club, or just a place where to spend some good musical nights with nice people on "our" frequency?

cheers.

last time i was in paris i went to a good party on a boat there. found out about it at hocus pocus (the record shop), so maybe try popping in there?? they've got a decent selection of music as well.

Check The Rex Club at any rate, there's usually some ok house & techno shennanigans going on there......otherwises "Bain Les Douches" is very a chic house-afro-latin-jazz club (if u like that kinda thing!)

Paris scene has been around for long.. most guys who were originally hardcore djs like Laurent Ho a.k.a Ingler, Joshua, Torgull, and others still keep the scene interesting (they seem to play any style but house these days :)) if you see Laurent Ho on the flyer, he's a good bet for good music..
there was some info on Batofar closing???
anyways havefun in PAris

hey Wocek,

sure if you want to listen to some good stuff, try the Rex (boulevard Poissonière) on friday night (if it didn't change ) it's the automatik party. techno.
Or you can check as well the Pulp which is 500 m from the Rex. interesting parties were on thursday night, when I lived in Paris... the best is to check the flyers of course...
you may enjoy Le Nouveau Casino (rue Oberkampf, 11e arrondissement) and Le Batofar, if it's not closed by now... (soooooo sad, it was one of the best venues in Paris).

I would avoid Les Bains Douches, unless you like hanging out with french Tv stars and actors, models, and you've got shit loads of money in your pocket (if you got VIP pass somehow, it can be a very fuunny experience...)

have a look at the end of the newspaper "Liberation" to know what's going on by night..

enjoy !

oh I forgot, one of the best record shop is called Katapult, it's behind Pace de la République, in the 3e arrondissement I think. You can get the right address ringing the information (just dial 12) service.
Hokus Pokus is not far, it's on Boulevard Richard Lenoir. Once you're out of Hokus Pokus, you could go along rue de la Roquette and in its perpendicular streets (rue keller, rue des taillandiers)... some cools records shops as well...
