a friend of mine at work buys all her dog food from her local butcher and literally makes quality burgers and meaty snacks for her spaniel. She's friends with the Canadian presenter of our equivalent "it's me or the dog" lady over here, he told her that normal dog food (mashed heads etc) really does send your dog crazy and depressed, a result of this is them chasing their tales? Not sure if I believe this or not but I always like hearing about tale chasing.

It's called Treat and train. I had this idea ages ago. Basicly, its a store or cache of X and when the dog presses a button X is released.

X could be a dog chocolate not necessaily a treat.

My dog wasn't fed with dog food (not bought one, he ate meat which we got form a friendly butcher) and he still ate his own shit. Especially if he didn't digest it too good.
