It's not a very new release, but not too old either - I haven't gotten around to listening to it, but I've heard that it's supposed to be a suprisingly varied release...

the label is actually owned by Laibach (remember them?) who also feature in neuro. I don't like Umek but this is pretty good

i got a few old UMEK records flying around somewhere. i think it's some of his first stuff and it's not really my cup of tea anymore. i can look the titles up if anyone feels like getting them. i don't need this stuff anymore.

Come on I'm not a big Umek fan - but that ain't his fault, he probably doesn't even know who Fergie is and I don't really want to drag that whole thing onto No-Future - even the Promotor of that night has said that he's ashamed - the thing I want to know is if he feels like that then why do the night? Because he's hoping to dig himself out of a financial hole - pure commercialism - Its not even worth discussing...

I'm pleased to hear that some people are enjoying this record. Umek has really gone through a phase of prolific, & generally cheesy output. Lanicor is a classic track, and although I wouldn't really dig hearing a set by him, there is no denying that he has got some v.good skills, which is a very important asset in the world of stadium techno.

ha ha Stadium Techno - I've not heard that term before - do you have to wear Van Halen style chequered spandex pants - (or maybe Leather strides will do) and scissor jump over your 10 decks and 6 909s...

For the producers out there, I've written a prolific output techno application

10 PRINT "BOOM, ";;;;
20 GOTO 10
RUN

BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM...

:) you didnt hear the term stadium techno before? dude where were you at all this time :) anyways guys like rush and umek are a true guarantee that a club for like 10.000 will be filled. if you ask me what would i choose - i'd choose to go to a set of umek or rush rather than lisa lashes, fergie or any of those plastic trash who get big doe for playing the true volksmusik ..cause they at least play hard stuff (not always true for Umek, who is more into techhouse these days).. as for the record. it is really good - nice mixture of old industrial, some idm influences, but mostly nu breaks and electro. well worth checking out. nothing ultra fresh about it, just a solid release (especially those tracks: kakerlak, libido, engram). tehnika is a label focused not on straight4/4 beats but rather on more experimental sound ..

the new Stanny Franssen LP on Zenit is a right winner...Didn't he used to play for Arsenal tho???
Stadium techno is the way forward.More Pyrotechnics. Who wants to stare at a stoic James Ruskin all nite?
Umek on some sort of magnificent futuristic spinning wheel wiv fire and goldfish inside the riser..Duuude!
Yeah and circle pits down at the front.

i also love the older umek stuff on absense and that lp on commoniqué, but this new record is really different to all his other releases i know.

I do like his stuff, though not everything, perhaps just a small part of it, but some of his techno/tech-house stuff is really good. AND don’t forget about Zeta Reticula (aka Umek), great electro stuff, released by his label Electrix, which I enjoy a lot.

i've just checked various records recorded by umek, To my surprise records are different from my presume. He definitely has changed his style from the time when i heard him recently. He is going in a good direction. maybe, in the next year i buy his record.

wait til u hear the umek mixes of transparent sounds 'fade to grey' on electrix...I think you'll all be eating your words......ultra stadium nonce-sense.
