eBay scammers are super slick

My girlfriend got a call today from someone purporting to be from PayPal. They knew my name and were looking for me to confirm my account username and password. She said it did sound like a call centre and the person was well spoken. Anyway, she was suspicious of being asked for details like that so fobbed them off. So not all internet scammers try to pull off obvious schemes in broken english...

was telling the guy from SRS about the scammer email I got today. He told me that one of his friends bought a Moog Prodigy off ebay that was listed "not working, spares or repair" the pictures on it looked like it was in fair nick, so he bought it.

When it arrived, he found that the lid had been glued shut. When he pried the lid open, it was empty - all the circuit boards had been removed.

Unfortunately it was listed as not working, spares or repair and sold as seen, so he couldn't complain, because the guy had never stated it had the circuit boards, but still - what a cunt.
