Ibrahim Alfa surelly knocked the shit
out of us with this hard and abstract brighton-sound!
Now Alfa returns with a record that seems to be a little different from the older work. More fresh and friendly!! but still following the wicked line of hard hitting drums and freaky basslines. Some voicesamples have been added and some bubbling and squeaking noizy stuff hidden in the background makes this to something really special! Vielleicht muss man einfach auch ein Fan von Ibrahim Alfa sein um sich über jede seiner Platten so zu freuen. Ich jedenfalls kann das, und mit "Versace Again" rockt er hier dezent dark mit hochgepitchten Vocalsamples und knarzig trockenem Funk erst mal ein Stück groovy Motorenölsound zurecht, holt auf "After The First Death" die plinkernden Glöckchensounds für seine angestumpfte Bassdrum heraus um mit flatternden Melodien durch die Gegend zu wirbeln, lässt auf Symbols einen Sound aufkommen, der ihn schon fast zu dem Schmuddelbruder von Titonton werden lassen könnte, der die Matchboxautos schon immer angezündet gegen eine Wand hat fahren lassen, und endet mit "My Errors" im ersten richtig düsteren digital verwurschtelten Whirlpoolmonstertrack auch noch mit einem Augenzwinkern an die Freunde seiner härteren Tracks. Sehr abwechslungsreiche Platte.

maybe u must be a fan of ibi for loving everyone of his records. im a fan and with "Versace Again" hes roking with highpitching vocalsamples and dry funkness fueld by a grooving motoroil.
with "After The First Death" he come along with plinky bellsounds, to swirl the bassdrums through flittering melodys and makes with symbols a sound, wich become to a dirt brother of tinoton. and tinoton like to flame matchboxautos and let them drive to a wall.
the ending is "my errors", a dark Whirlpoolmonstertrack with eyewimper for hard tracks.

a totaly varied record........................
