ive just found my cd-r's with all the older stuff by will oldham and at moment im listenein to the session from john peel in 02

oldham is such a genius.... one of the greatest songwriters of all time.

That track he did with Jim O'Rourke on the 'Dutch Harbour' soundtrack is amazing... 'Ebb's Folly' I think it's called.

Funny I just recently broke up with my girlfriend and I cited one of the reasons why was because she wouldn't listen to William Oldham and get drunk in a bathtub with me.


Well it may not be that funny.

Yeah - I've not really got my teeth into anything he's done as yet... I've read quite a few interviews and reviews and stuff - but never conciously heard any of his music I don't think. Although I think he did a song on the new Bjork soundtrack which I've got - so maybe I have.
