I've designed some pamphlets for a mate of mine, i wanna save them to PDF for printing - some of the shapes are not visable off the artboard/page but are actually bigger than the page -

every time i save to pdf it saves the page as the size including these shapes -

(i am a novice. edit - so i hope this makes sense)

any ideas where i'm going wrong?

cheers.

what you need to do is draw a rectangle the dimensions you want your pdf page to be, make sure it's selected and choose "make cropmarks" from the object menu. your pdf will then export with just the stuff inside the cropmarks.
