sometimes i get freaked by the thought of all the music out there that ill never hear. even if i only like 0.01% of all music ever made, i still wouldnt have enough life left to listen to it, never mind having to wade through 99.99% of the stuff i dont like. anyway, if you like the velvet underground/stooges, check the monks 'black monk time'(1966). i bought it on a whim and was shocked to find thumping drums, sheets of feedback and songs called 'i hate you' and 'shut up'.

I feel the same. Trying to listen to all the stuff I've already got is quite a mission in itself without listening to all the new stuff. Stopping buying records isn't difficult when you're not getting paid much, but resisting all the excellent CD's in the libraries (free here btw) is nigh on impossible. Also trying to resist downloading all the great mixes I find on NF isn't easy, and I've got quite a backlog of them too...

doesn't bother me. So long as my life is full of music I like, then I'm happy. If I discover anything new that I love, that's just a bonus. I'm never upset I didn't know about it before.
Although sometimes I wish I'd seen certain bands live, Joy Division, Super_Collider, and others.
