hello folks,
i need to pick the collective brains of the board
i`ve set up an electronica mssgboard
called beta cell (http://pub98.ezboard.com/betacell)
although the board is primarily focused on electronica
it also takes in glitch, idm, dub
& minimal, industrial & ambient sounds
(to some sub categories of electronica
..to others entities in their own right)
i`m wanting to ask the those members of the board
that have an interest in the above to suggest links
either in the http (http://pub98.ezboard.com/fetacellfrm19) section
or in the ftp (http://pub98.ezboard.com/fetacellfrm20) section
if intersted please let me know the links
either on the beta cell site
or by e-mail to me at 6sheep@bigfoot.com
regards
ramon

thanks folks
i haven`t a lot of ca$h at the moment
& ezboard seemed cheaper than v bulletin
i`ll try not to be hypocritical btw
& post on this board too
dont want to be solely
in the bizz of self publicity ;)
but i`m wanting to make the http section of links
as thorough as possible
it`s a work in progress

vBulletin (which the no-future board is made from) does cost, yes, but if u use phBB as a forum template it's free, and make sure u d/l the BETA-TEST version. Overloadmedia uses this board for it's forum, as do uboot.com, and quite a few others.
failing that, lycos.co.uk offer 50 Mb free webspace and all the squirrels (sql) and php and other tools u need to set up a forum.
the trouble with ezboard is that any member is spammed with useless shit, which is of course, a big drawback in gaining membership from an already discerning audience.
good luck,
;)

thanks for your interest & replies
i`m looking into the phBB options
can`t download the ez to phBB
converter for some reason
just wanting to try it out to see
how it looks
hopefully the ezboard i`m using
should have no pop ups or advertising

thanks to invisibleplanet
for the euroranch link
an excellent site by the look of it
for the timebeing it`s in the portal (http://pub98.ezboard.com/fetacellfrm19.showMessage?topi cID=5.topic) list
after i`ve had a longer look at the euroranch site
i may move it or replicate it into other lists
btw - i typed in gimmik (Martin Haidinger) ,an austrian
& ironically the archive search came up blan
thanks also to pille'ocheoni for the invision link
i`ve just started to look at that site
been looking at the skins section
to see how how you can tweek the look & design
don`t know whether i`ve got the will power
to divert funds from music purchase
into phBB or invision registration though
