Ok, not that many of you probably give a toss but t-row at 9am (yes, i know its saturday) it gonna kick off proper at Dalston Theatre as the protesters who are occupying the building have just been issued and IPO (Interim Possesion Order) from Shoreditch County Court. 9am t-row, the demolision crew make their move.

For the last week its been pretty hectic on Dalston Lane, the protester's moved in about 8 days ago and one girl literally got blocked in by the builders and now has lived on the roof or the immediate area just underneath it all week. Seeing how cold it has been (and it has been rob Wink) massive respect goes out to her in how she has gone about this worthy cause.

I'm going down, i don't like the proposed plans..they suck and will make Hackney/Dalston resemble Croydon in a way. That can't happen.

The 4 Aces club had existed as a club for over 4 decades, i went a few times in the 90's and obviously i was quite a frequent visitor to Club Labyrinth when it was open. The artists who have performed at both these places is most impressive, Marley, Dylan, Otis Redding, The Prodigy amongst many others..

Hackney Council in their infinite wisdom closed these two places down and hoped that over 5 or 6 years they would crumble and people would forget and not really put up any resistance to demolition..they also stripped the roof of its slates (selling them in the process!) leaving it massively exposed
to the elements and removed the fundamental grand staircase that provided a level of structural support within the building.

So if you care, live around here or this place holds a part of significance to you in some way, come down and have a cuppa...it'll be worth it just to show these people that the community give a shit and won't just lie down and take it.
