I am setting up a new label called "Philie-T records" and i need some new artists, to sell mainly via the web, and if good a vinyl run. I am looking for mainly hip-hop and electronic. Anyone interested?

I'm not into hip hop but two of my friends are and they did some live hip hop stuff with a heavy electronic influence that I found good and pleasurable to listen to so I'll see about getting them in touch with you.

Look, i was only on a wind-up, I didn't mean any offence, just like breaking some balls thats all. I did say sorry. Anyway, I already have a company set up "Focalcom" And I am developing a website with the same asp as Spymania are using (off the shelf cart thing) Anyway, i just want to have a small roster of artists, and generate some hype and sell some shit. I have a little bit of funding so could afford to get some duplication, obviously nothing major. CD's would be a cheaper solution I reckon, but i would only want to use the "silver" glass disks, and the minimum is 500, which will cost about £700 which is a bit steep, would prefer to get 200 done really and generate some interest on the net.

It was Lex Records which is a small hip-hop off shoot of Warp, Boom-bip is on it with Mummy fortunas... I was not very happy with my deal, and I knew that they were gonna shift the squareroot of fuckall records. So I thought with the cash i have, i would be wiser to market my record "Sketches from Sirius via Chelmsford" andother peoples through a website I can manage and market from. It means I have ultimate control of my product. Besides Lex, were talking about giving me £7,000. Which is bullshit. Id rather be independent. Im not slagging off Lex records at all, they are a super bunch of people .

Look, all im asking is, if you have some decent music i would be thinking of creating a profile on my site. market and hype your music. If you think im on the wind-up again then fine. Im not. I will be launching the site the end of Feb, with my stuff to start with. If you have some stuff which you think is good enough to put out and it's on the Hip-hop/electronic tip let me know.

well phil if you want you can sign a track or two of mine......i sent your some concepts that day and there are more on the ftp, im open to what ever. i dont want to get signed as a artist unless your going to give me a house but i will sign a couple of tracks.

pille, you can stay round my house and sleep on my couch if you want. but all im gonna do is create a site which i will host a few 'select' artists and hopefully if the tunes are 'banging' enough get them cut on vinyl or glass mastered. But you must understand they have to be BANGING!! other wise...who the fuck will buy.....if it's just some standard bedroom electronic soundscape sub-everything...why would people part with money??? The music has to make me go "Fuck in hell I want to play that out" or "fuck in hell i just want to listen to that again and again." It has to make me want to go and spend the money to get it cut on vinyl!! It has to be like when i first heard Remarc's "Thunderclap" (get it , if u never heard it) in 94!!

oki doki.....but one thing ive learned about making music is pressure, and pressure is bad. the two tracks you put up.the bout
_100 and the other one....the bout_100 is some hot shit!that track will deffinetly make it to the high charts, mad props on that one. i wish i could think like that but im too "bedroom electronic soundscape sub-everything" ill try to write some harsh dark, neuvo hip-hop. peace/p:)
