Yes, I went to a soldier pub. My friend who had long hair got beaten up. Because he had long hair. It was a regular occurence round those parts if you were:

a. a student
b. a longhair
c. some kind of deviant
d. a foreigner
e. all of the above
f. none of the above.

I am sorry, and it IS wrong, absolutely it is....

but these things DO and always will happen. The only way a human can be guraenteed to kill another on command, is if you dehumanize them and then rebuild their psychology. That is what the British army is especially good at.

Furthermore, part of that involves dehumanizing the "enemy" or culture thereof...

hence a vietnam soldier wasn't killing a starving, tired human who is afraid..merely a "gook"

This is how it works folks, and when you play with the psycology (dog-brain) of someone in order to make them an effective soldier, this is what WILL happen at some stage.

I used to grow up in an area where the "rhinearmy" was stationed in Germany , at the hight of the cold war... The "squatties" would often come in groups on the weekend in our local pubs ......Depending on the regiment , these soldiers came from the roughest social inviroments of GBs cities, where usually previously convicted, and either had the choice of getting nicked, or to serve the army....

I expierienced alot of the violence potential that these blokes have, and even got my head kicked once, because of being coloured....Some of them who were in the infantery regiment were members of the "national Front".....
I´ve seen people getting bashed up badly, pubs getting demolished and a military police who would act with the same violence, radomly battering anyone who could`nt hold up their German ID card fast enough......

This really does`nt suprise me, but still shockes me at the same time.....

have to say it neither shocked nor unduly upset me that much. frankly its a bit disappointing that the media needs these big, emblematic video symbols to realise the nature of what going on over there- chaotic, empassioned and quite out of control, unlike the nice sanitised oppression and slaughter we'd like to leave to the imagination. its like supermarket meat eaters getting wound up about fox hunting. Our corrupt, unsustainable, godless, overindulged culture that we take for granted is supported by the exertions of the angriest of our angry young men- what on earth do people expect?


i am not suggesting that those responsible are not held to account in a court of law- just not used as a judas goat by the media.
