Anyone else been getting these mentalist seven inch singles? Just picked up the last three (007, 008 & 009) and am loving them hugely. Tipper style growl bass, folk melodies, a hint of grime, big arrangements, a bit of basic channel tape-hiss-dub... fairly crazed.
Here's a breezeblock mix they did all of their own stuff http://www.wordthecat.com/goku/?p=81

Yeah there's some in the singles series that mash up pop-R&B stuff too.... but their own Rodney Jerkins style stutter R&B beats are absolutely wigged.

why have none of us heard of these before?
it always annoys me when I find out about really exciting stuff like this too late.

Loz

all the early ones are sold out, and I can't afford to buy all the ones available, so probably will miss those, too

There's a killer remix edit of Home on their site, different to the 7" version much heavier. It's a shame you can't download it because it's embedded in a Flash player. That breezeblock mix is great cheers Joe.

I only have one of them ("I'm really hot") but I'm bidding and losing on Cognac/Queen Bee.
Missed a lot of the Digital Mystikz e.p.s the first time around too...and now they are changing hands for a lot of money :(
