Caution!!!

if you've been cautioned but it was over two years ago you don't have to mention it on applications even to the law do you??

i'm filling out a application for a I.T. position with the old bill and it says -

"Have you ever been charged with, or summoned, or cautioned, or convicted of, or had an Order made against you (including binding over) by any Court or Court Martial, or any Commanding Officer of the Armed or Merchant Services or been convicted for any Armed Disciplinary Offence?"

i definitely got cautioned as a nipper with a host of drug offences but that can't count surely, and i've been pulled in for drunken stuff but i'm not sure if that was proper caution cos they just let me go in the morn > anyone know where i stand?

It's 4 years for a caution... but It can vary sometimes I think.

a guy I know wants to be a copper. Me and his dad kept saying "you know, the moment you become a copper, you become a complete cunt, don't you?" but he wouldn't be disuaded.

Although, I do now know that one of the questions on the 15 page or so application form is "Are you a member of, or have you had any dealings or relatioship with the British Nationalist Party or any of their members."

So it's nice to know that they're weeding out all the racists.

in beglium everything you do before 18th bday gets wipped off, but being pulled over drunk i don't think that that would realy count in, donno how old bill works tho but even here the head of police of some districts get pulled over drunk or while driven over somebody, i think that it has more to do with teft , etc the bigger jobs in the dark alley

This crappy agency tried to hook me up with this admin job for a company working for the Police and I was supposed to have a drug test done afore I began - I said "joe pinapples dont need your stinking job!" and bust a move outta there. So the moral of the tale - BEWARE the drug test for it does mean three weeks off the weed/pills/special k/roofies/acid/dmt/ to pass, and I've seen that shit fuck up stronger men than I, Gunga Din!

you should be alright, then. i believe your caution gets wiped from your record 4 (or apparently, 3) years after the fact, or when you hit 18

yeah i am having second thoughts - i don't even consider myself to be a drug taker anymore - though thinking about hardly a week goes by without me doing something so it'd probably be a doomed relationship. especially if i'm gonna have to choose between K, Ghb and smak as my drugs of choice.
