Yakalike - http://www.yakalike.com/ - is an extention for FireFox that terns every website you go to in to a IRC like chat room. So, if your sitting around looking at whatever page you can chat with anyone else looking on the server (you don't have to be in the same page/thread/whatever).
Looks pretty good, but it does clash with some other extensions, so if it doesn't work, try a bit of trial and error.
