they gonna do their next album without any label in their back just releasing it for people who signed in on their website. costs a bit of money ( 35€) but surely worth a thought.

hmm i guess i'd prefer one of your bratwursts over neubauten. lol which brand of mustard do you use?

theres only two sorts of mustard that can be eaten: Born Senf and Bautz'ner Senf. Only with Thüringer Bratwurst of course (and not the ones from anywhere outside Thüringen, that's nothing that would have past quality control right here).
:-p lol
you don't like Einstürzende Neubauten? i like them - can't always touch with everything of their older works - maybe because i didn't live in that time. the newer works are fantastic though! "Silence is Sexy" and that wonderful video for this album track done by Jörg Buttgereit - awsome!

well but as an electronic music fan you also have to like mustard from duesseldorf, that's obligatory. ;)

you're a bratwurst nazi, against all foreign types of sausages ? lol

well i used to like them 10 years ago, they were an institution for me and everyone i knew. but during the 90s mr. bargeld more and more gave me the impression of being a somewhat arrogant asshole whenever i saw him appearing somewhere and i started to doubt and ask myself if their stuff was really so brilliant. to me the "achtung this is art!"-sign is a bit too big especially today, black coat etc. in the 80s it was "wenn du die harmonien zerstoerst, wirst du die sozialen strukturen angreifen" (by destroying the harmonies you'll attack social structures) or so, a quite big-mouth-sentence i'd say, and today...
we can see bargeld pressing the start button of germany's 'official web portal' together with questionable men like mr. rau (german superpresident). in my opinion that's ridiculous, being the 'germany's-musical-intellectual-on-duty' but it's no surprise i guess, neubauten were exported very soon by goethe institut in the early 80s and since then they had good connections to the cultural establishment.
well but they had an influence although they definitely didn't invent industrial music i guess.

I gotta say that I'm not down with mustard or kraut, be they German or otherwise - the German beer purity laws I have greater appreciation for though...
btw, have you been to St.Helen's in Georgia? That place is seriously ill for any actual German, just lovely lol

yeah, we used to visit that little village...it looks just like what i think germany would look like. cobblestone streets, cottage style house, with flower pots in the windows.very weird place to be in gerogia.....theres a place not to far from there where in the middle of nowhere there is a huge pillar, or better yet a monolith.it just stands out there on a piece of land just purchased for the monolith.very weird.it has strange carvings on it and nobody knows anything about who owns the land.anyways i want to try this beer they always talk about. whats some good beers germans prefer?

@pille
about the beer depends a lot which area of Germany you're in, there's a lot of small, regional breweries, microbreweries even. For example I like Bavarian beer, like Erdinger & Paulaner, but I bet there'll be some other Germans that will not be down with that at all...
hehe we used to always take Germans to St.Helens, it was a blast because it really illustrated common American misconceptions about Germany nicely - it's been a while since I was there so I can't give you any exact examples, but for one I remember that there was a lot of structures just made out of plastic :)

c s re-bratwurst: - i wouldn't call myself a nazi on anything but theres something about it when it comes to this theme. i tried lots of others too, most were ok, some really tasted shit, in the end nothing beats ours. word!8-()
altogether i'd say anyone is a kind of nazi then when it comes to the local food specialities (vor allem mir OSSIs). what's hot in hamburg - Fischbrötchen?
i never had düsseldorfer senf though. is it good? i might give it a try if it is, can't make a sense what it should have to do with music from this area. maybe they dried and smoked it? mustard intravenous - ouch!
re-neubauten: your right, sometimes they were/are a bit to arty, luckily more in interviews and such and i don't buy their personal lifes but their music. that is a part of their lifes of course but as long as they're true about their music and evolve their sound i got nothing against a bit of posing in public.
wheezer you were so lucky having played such music by your mother when you were a kid! my parents (and whole jackass family) only listen to schlager and the likes. just a few weeks ago my cousin wanted to tell me that the music he's listening to (Scooter und Co.) is real techno while my records are all sick. he was right i guess.
i have to see that german town. do they speak german there?

the german people thanks you for putting this clear - so i don't even have to start... ;) but i had a good time checking websites of 'american germans' - just incredible... lol especially the names of their live bands...
I remember that there was a lot of structures just made out of plastic :)
you sure it wasn't disneyland? ;) i can tell you for sure that german houses are all made of natural stone and real german steel. (see also : die krupps - rings of steel) lol
wheezer: hihi my mom used to always play Yü-Gung (Fütter mein Ego) to me when I was a kid growing up in Germany - brings back memories, that stuff!
you grew up in germany? yeah yü gung is a great dance track, i think i danced to it a lot around 1991 or so.
pille: a monolith.it just stands out there on a piece of land just purchased for the monolith.very weird.it has strange carvings on it and nobody knows anything about who owns the land.
sounds interesting. but i doubt it was the germans. it was The Older Ones who came from the stars when earth was young... lol
marcel: whats questionable with rau?? explain that please
well, he's a bit 'toothless', isn't he? too tame for my taste. von weizsäcker ruled.
mr.bratwurst: re-bratwurst: - i wouldn't call myself a nazi on anything but theres something about it when it comes to this theme.
i understand. ;)
i tried lots of others too, most were ok, some really tasted shit, in the end nothing beats ours. word!
well, i only had one when i played in thuringia, very quickly before the train left, but it was ok. the people from the club were also very fasc... erm i mean convinced by their native food. lol
what's hot in hamburg - Fischbrötchen?
well, actually i'd rather go directly to the north sea to buy a 'fish roll' for the real fresh fish experience. but although i like those i'm not really a travelling fish fanatic - although i should be, geographically, i know...
i never had düsseldorfer senf though. is it good?
yes! although the hot one is really hot.....
i might give it a try if it is, can't make a sense what it should have to do with music from this area. maybe they dried and smoked it? mustard intravenous - ouch!
well, i guess all cult artists from the area grew up with it, so there must be something about it... ;)

oh yes!

correct! you need to notice that bavaria, which is wrongly used world-wide as a blueprint of germany, is actually not germany. southern germany is a whole different world. local governments over there are always extremely conservative, not only in bavaria but also in baden-württhemberg (that's why neue heimat in stuttgart is constantly being attacked by police). it's really a different vibe: in bavaria the same party has been ruling for 50 years or so and they still get 60% of the votes, not a too good place for minorities btw. so how could i love bavarian beer? ;)
coming from the opposite side, the northernmost town in germany, i can only accept the beer brewed there (flensburger, very dry beer). exceptions can be made (jever) but i won't drink anything that has been brewed far south of hamburg, period. lol

no. while the superiority of a race is bullshit, the superiority of northern german beer is just a fact, and no-one will ever change my mind, understand, not even facts will do so! lol
