In one sense I'm happy from the new Natives releases... The Reaktor 4 seems to be my next buy!? Just bought the 3.05 a month ago!!! Hope it will be not the full price cost for an update...

The Kompakt seems to be Kontakt light version using one sample.

The vocoder could be great, but the recycle adaptation is nothing new under the sun.

The team up with Stanton is okay, but why they didn't create a midi interface with a kind of spin turntable like the Denon DN-S5000 instead ?

Now you need 2 turntable + the FinalScratch System + a Mixer!!!

Anyway... I was hoping a team up with Clavia to develop a Reaktor in a box... or a kind of sequencer for Native products.

There's been a statement from some official NI dude on their forum some time ago, that Reaktor 4 will be free for registered v3 users, since it replaces the long promised v3 upgrade. I'd give the link, but the NI site is too sloooooow right now...

A friend of mine has just ordered Final Scratch, should be fun :)

Clavia doesn't seem to be in a very inspired mood either, NordLead 2X duh....

from reaktor forum:
Posted by Steffen Fuerst regarding the 3.3 update:

"The update will be free, and i'm sure that you will understand why we decide to call it 4.0 and not 3.3, after you see this update."

From reaktor forum:

Hate to be the bearer of less than good news, but I spoke today to three different people at NI's booth at NAMM today... they all told me the same thing when I asked if the upgrade would be free or not:

The decision has not yet been made...

No indication which way they're leaning. Given the size of the upgrade, especially on the Mac side with the vastly improved VST implementation and full OS X compatability, it's not surprising from a marketing point of view that NI would charge for the upgrade.

let´s wait and see!
probably r4 has some different bugs!

on of NI said at NAMM that an R4 upgrade would be free for registered R3 users

One would only have to pay for the new instrument library created with r4.
that´s fair, isn´t it?

nobody can complain about that I think: r3 users get the long awaited update/grade for free as promised, and only pay (some $70-80?) for the r4 library.

jees, it's been a hectic couple of days on the Reaktor forum, everybody can finally get back to posing questions about table files and grainclouds.

:)
