a lovely idea...i dont know how feasible but we can definitely think about it.
you know if we had loads of cash we'd fly you all to brighton for a slap up party, even the UK residents - probably helicopter them in -but sadly that platinum seller didnt quite happen.
you never know about next year though!

aleks
17th January 2003, 17:37

pille'ocheoni
17th January 2003, 18:33
hey we could do this, but i would deffinetly be a money issue thats why i say if we all plan for this time next year and save the money to but plane tickets in advance well save tons of money, i have a freind in the travel industry and he could maybe find us a group convention deal or something:)......its very possible and wouldnt it be awsome to meet everyone face to face.and england is sort of a central point for everyone.i think we could do it if we planned way in advance.

DsD
17th January 2003, 18:47
hm perhapssome germans can take a rowing boat with me... that might be the cheapest way. we have to start about 6 month befor the party. who is interested? ;)

i know of a beautiful site in central england where a festival could be held in the second weekend of August ....

it is on an organic farm......i am quite confident we could get a licence for amplfied music and i know of an organic brewery which would be able to obtain a license for the sale of alcohol. It is on the same site as the Northern Green Gathering, in central england, and is close to Leeds/Bradford Airport, and an excellent railway network and bus service.

would you like to know more?

pille'ocheoni
17th January 2003, 21:25
yeah!..............hey maybe you could help too.......planet your excellent with imfomation.see all of us together we could get this done very easy:)....tell me more!

Sheridan
17th January 2003, 21:53
we could make it a big party and everyone who djs or produces can bring their stuff and everyone gets to play. all different kinds of techno and electro and experimental stuff.
then after everyone is properly oiled we could have a royal rumble and see who is the toughest erutufon member of all. :D

DsD

Sheridan

shit I can say from experience that forum technoparties are an insane blast - if it's in europe, count me in!

i don't mind to sort things out with the authorities...police...environ mental health...neighbours to the farm....

i was already making enquiries as to the feasibility of this idea ..i used to do this thing in the late 80s early 90s....and had started to make a plan - inspired by wocek's tales of outdoor parties.

Picture this: a 7 acre site, on top of a hill, with a large concrete golf-tee shaped water tower at the entrance. On the site, there could be a large dance marquee +10k rig, + lighting, a smaller electronics marquee with tables/chairs , blackout inside 'starlit' chilled level of lighting....a yugoslavian yert as a performer-shelter....for the dj's musicians and a couple of chaps to guard their records/instruments/laptops....a solar powered dj-booth under a round beach-hut/dance area, which is at the centre of a circular cafe-seated area in an organic garden...organic catering (fried tempeh?!) and booze provided by local award winning brewery - can have a cocktail/jäger bar also in the electronics area.....an outdoor laser lightshow ....(or we can have fireworks, but then we'd have to restable the horses overnight and that would cost more!)...it would be eco meets techno.

it could be made for this august 2003, and i had already reserved a 10k rig for the 'music that makes you want to shake your booty' marquee for the second weekend of august.

i just want you to know how possible this is *g, but that i'm working now on a project that's going to take up alot of time, and so i then thought that to make these ideas work properly/smoothly, and so that it could happen again, the next year, an eco techno fest will need proper planning, and a degree of fund raising to pay for the hire of the equipment that we would use. we'd need to put the organic catering up for tender....because if the food and drink are terrible, we'll all be miserable. so 2004 - it would be better to organise well.

camping facilities are basic - wash room/toilets with no showers.
we could have a camp fire....it's midsummer, so nothing grand. It's possible we could have some windmill-battery power bank for you to recharge your latops (surge protected)

ok - i hear you...

i had actully begun making enquiries as to the feasibility of an outdoor electronic music 'symposium' with some kind of alternative technologies/eco theme in central england, so i'll continue making enquiries of a practical nature...feel free to talk to me about it . :!

i am currently writing the risk assessment, in order to obtain the Public Entertainments License (PEL). An interesting task *g
