This website looks ten times better on a mac.. unsurprisingly :)

this new version of the forum and site is all done with CSS2 , so I thought it would look the same on a mac as a PC - what is it about viewing it on a PC that makes it 'worse' ?

yeah, I have to do the same at home (using opera), but at work (using ie) I've only had to log in once...

bah! the only thing that 'looks better' to me is the aqua mac theme to the window and a slightly diferent font rendering. If anybody really feels the need AquaXP does a good skinning. I'll live with scaping a few spybug off every few days for flexibility of working with any hardware and working in the most productive environment for me.

I'd not seen the new site on my mac until today, I was really surprised how much harder it was to read and scan than the old site.. but the new site looks really good on my mac.. just a lot easier to read and looks a lot tidier imo. Decent fonts make a lot of difference, I can read for hours on my mac without getting eye strain, on a pc it really grates after a while. It's what you're used to I suppose.

Theres more fuzziness in the mac picture due to jpeg compression of the anti-aliasing, they are both on the same compression setting.

the only problem i have is that on the ibook the fonts are absolutely tiny..i have to set my minimum font size up a bit to be able to see the text...and even then still have to up the font size to read it...most other sites are fine..but NF has always been miniscule on my mac.

its fine on my pc...

That's wierd. both those shots are on the standard settings on my mac and pc, both pretty much the same size.
