Easy enough in Cubase SX.

Load a Reaktor ensemble that sends MIDI (e.g. a sequencer connected to a MIDI out pitch/gate or controller module), setup a MIDI track with in port: Reaktor 3 VST, and hit record.

This way you can also create a MIDI only instrument in Reaktor (a step sequencer, a table file 'controller envelope', or even sort of a mixermap with various realtime controllers) and control another VSTi or even external gear, by rerouting Reaktor's MIDI output to the appropriate MIDI out port. I use this trick to sequence the Nord Modular.

nope, that's exactly what i don't have the slightest clue about. see i have a 'free'lol version of cubase sx running, just got it a few weeks ago and i have no idea how to deal with it yet. i get a signal in the mixer but neither in a midi- nor in a audio-channel. guess i didn't set up my soundcard (a crappy one) right.

but wasn't it that reaktors midi capabilities are not really so big? more like using vst?

if anyone knows about this please enlighten us!
