After a trip to IKEA yesterday I finally figured out how to do these discs justice while still hanging them up somewhere to brag lol

yeh that ghostbusters ep is the only one I directly bought in a shop myself, I remember that it was a tough decision - either food for the day or that ep!

I have had that dilema so many times myself. vinyl would always win out though because it is a lot easier to skam for food than it is for vinyl.

by the way, what are mr T's comandments??

wheezer
15th January 2003, 18:12
that's a fine piece of vinyl - the t actually "raps" on that thing. there's mr.t's commandments in two different versions, and my personal favorite track of the ep; toughest man in the world. he generally "raps" a lot about staying away from strangers, staying in school, getting good grades, listening to your parents, etc...

exercise, eat your vitamins, and say your your payers. must have been written by the person who wrote hulk hogan's slogans.

hulk and t got along pretty well back in the day... there's two legendary a-team episodes featuring hulk hogan as a guest star, the man delivers stellar performances in both, along with the usual quality offered by the supporting cast...

The all time guest appearance in the A-Team has to be Boy George...

The A-team are stuck in a pickle with Boy George and the Colonel hits upon the idea of using Boy George's celebrity status to distract their wouldbe assailants.

The Faceman has some reservations about Boy George's celebrity status, but he is cut short by BA Baracus saying...

"Hey, everyone loves Culture Club..."

Oh dear... :-)

yeh that's a funny episode, in fact boy george got booked by face because face thought he was getting a certain cowboy george. the funniest part is definitely when the t gets down to the hard hitting culture club beat lol

They're ability to find a shed in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a lawnmower, welding kit and some assorted bric-a-brac turning it into some armoured assault vehicle never seized to amaze me!

yeh, there always seems to be a garage nearby stocking a tank with some engine troubles or the like, and as well all know, b.a. fixes anything with wheels :D

did anyone get ever killed in the a-team?

amble
16th January 2003, 16:48
no! no mather how many circles their cars made in the air, no mather how much machinegun-fire they had to eat, the villans always stood up, shaked the dirt off and lined up to get handcuffed.
a truly peaceful combat that is.

a-team was the only of that action-series i watched regularly when i was a kid, and i hated knight rider (and still do).

amble: was i because David hasselhof was starring in the knight rider show ?
(i know i hate him).

i like kids turbo boost. :<
i always tried to make dadys car jumping but it failed. :<

hasselhoff is just one reason. i didn't like the whole 'moral forefinger attitude' they came up with. michael knight as a character is just out there to be hated, totally one-sided boring person that always does the right thing, the driving pope in leather jacket.

and common - a speaking car that steadyly gives 'good' advices like "don't drive too fast michael!", "fasten your seatbelt michael!", "don't hit the pedestrian michael!". i would have cut the speaker-cables after ten minutes.

also why does the car have a male voice? that is somewhat gay - a man and his automobile, out there alone all the time - starts me thinking about certain things. a lot of sexual perversitys can be found out there, i never heard of an erotic relation to a car though. but hey who knows.

no no a-team was much more fun.

i'm thinking about what else of that sort came on the telly. i remember a few series (airwolf, chips, what else??) but i actually never watched them. i just listened to the title-music and switched away.

as for alf, i recorded many episodes on cassette directly from the tv cos i didn't want to buy the official ones - the disadvantage was that there was no guiding voice explaining what you should see right now. but who cares.
