Which is better to buy

the Sequential Circuits Pro 1 or the Moog Prodigy?

...and why?

...describe the sound difference?

I believe they are of simular spec, but I reckon the Prodg will be more expensive.

I reckon the MiniMoog is an overpriced overrated synth and I know the prordg is supposed to be just a cut down version of that.

anyway do tell

hard question. i would vote for the pro one. it was a long time ago, when I had my hands on both machines and I never owned one of them, so it's hard to describe the sound difference, but I remember that the pro one was more interesting and flexible in my opinion (there's also a simple and funny built in sequencer!). the prodigy is great as well, no doubt, but if you think about purchasing a moog, better go for a minimoog. the minimoog might be over-priced, but definately not over-rated =)

PRO ONE.... no argumentation needed!

(Vince Clarke used to have two... he said it was his favourit synth - the BEST!)

So easy when it comes to soundcreating - warm, sharp, catchy, sweet..... perfect!
