Humm.. funny, although I was a primus fan as a lad, and a owner of their first record (Meet the Residents), I never really got into these guys (and gals) until recently.
Can anybody suggest a decent album that showcases a lot of electronic oddness. Although I have yet to listen to more recent material, I fear it will be a bit more conventional then what I'm used to (like compairing old They Might be Giants of the 'Flood' era to the newer albums).
Should I be looking for 'Duck Stab'? Any others that showcase high weirdness?

well not really sure if you want refrences towards the group your talking about or any strange electronic bands over all.since i dont know of the band your talking about,i have made some discoveries at the record store i spend most of my days working and racing for the new releases.one recently new release by the group simian, they are on asterlwerks and to my knowledge they have two albums out.they are deffinetly something to check out,its very analog and beatles esqe`.very cool stuff.andthey look like the beatles too!!....i just heard them over the store play system and was taken on a cool journey after my endless hours of pick list and sorting cd's.and im sure you allready know about the sub pop kids and phil niblock.great stuff!cheers/pille'

well, although simian is quite nice, i fear theres absolutely no connection to the residents soundwise. mr. pille bursts the topic! :)
anarcho: try finding some of their older stuff, i think the newer works are not that fresh anymore. a friend of mine has a dvd which is pretty good, i think it's called "ICKY FLIX" or something. maybe theres a cd of that too. i remember a track named "Third Reich'n'Roll" that was pretty rocking.
