Hi i was wondering if any one can help, i dont know much about comps but when i woke up today mine was kinda fuct. There seems to be a problem logging into secure pages (hotmail and gmail) and also msn messenger. When i turn it on a window pops up saying that my firewall/norton antivirus driver cant load, so i have tried to restart the system a few times and it dont help. Then when i connect to the t'internet, my msn wont log in because 'the default gateway' is offline and the log in pages for my email accounts wont open. Kinda fucking annoying.

Ive used norton, spybot and adaware to clear up my pc but it dont seem to help. I have also cleared all the cookies and the cache but nada. Has anyone got an idea what i should do next or what the problem is?

Cheers

turn off your firewall - does it work now? if yes reinstall your firewall
then reinstall norton - or uninstall norton and install free version of AVG

sorry that's my limit of help these days with wireless and various other networking complexities

avg rules! i just started using it recently and i've been totally virus and trojan-free ever since. norton, on the other hand, is a great big pile of knob

Norton is heavily targeted by hackers, hence it is pretty insecure ironically enough.

AVG definately the way to go
