does anyone do mp3 searching and downloading on the mac?

what's the best software for the job?

limewire seems to be the best tool at the moment. i think i'm going to try to run virtual pc though and use soulseek. limewire limits you a bit though if you have a firewall. you can't d/l something from someone else that is behind a firewall if you are behind a firewall as well. i don't know if this is common to all the pier to pier client servers, but it sure can get annoying.

i guess the edonkey/emule (www.emule-project.net) and overnet networks are the biggest & best today. unfortunately the best client, emule, is only available for pc, but there's 'mldonkey' which is available for mac as well. for example http://homepage.mac.com/michelmoreau

there should also be an overnet client for mac but it's said to be command line only. obviously i couldn't test either of it, just wanted to recommend that network and not kazaa etc.
