Haven't used it.... but if you're looking for info, here's the link to the mfb site: http://www.mfberlin.de/Produkte/Musikelektronik/musikelektronik.html

I've looked at the site and heard the samples on it, just wondered if anyone had actually used it.:)

Looks like crap..

I'd just save up for a modcan system (www.modcan.com). Or, if I lived in england, I'd get an analogue solutions box (http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~concuss/ ).

Still, i'd rather save for a modcan panel.

Humm.. aside from a modcan, I'd go for a ms-20 (again), a microkorg (cheap) or a waldorf pulse plus (great mono synth, especially if you have a dedicated knob box, keyboard and something to use those CV outs on =). Humm.. maybe a korg mono/poly as well, but everything else looks like crap or is overpriced (i.e. euro modulars, vcs3, serge panels, buchla 200s, moog panels, etc).

Yeah, one module for the modcan costs as much as a cheap synth on ebay, but it is worth it...

Humm.. maybe, if I had a shit load of cash, I'd buy a Hartmann Neuron..

"At winter NAMM 2002 German synthesizer company Hartmann entered the market with its Neuron synthesizer based on adaptive sound analysis technology. Neuron offers a new approach to creative sound generation combining intelligent analysis and synthesis based on neural networks with innovative user interface design. The result is a completely new type of synthesizer offering spectacular and unique sounds inside an easy-to-use instrument.
Neuron 's software allows the user to first analyze and then manipulate any sound source. Neuron automatically identifies a sound 's most distinctive components and converts them into individual parameter sets, creating and storing a 'model' emulating the original sound. This model can be instantly recalled and played."

Sounds cool.

Ohh.. before I get anybody's hopes up:

The Neuron Neuronal Synthesizer will ship this spring to selected retailers worldwide at a suggested retail price of USD 4,990.00 (EUR 4.890,00).

*sigh* . . . . . . .

I have got the mfb synth, and i pretty like it!
For that price range it sounds good and heavy, also the filters are quite cool.
I don´t like the sequencer that much, but i also do not want to use it really.

Its worth checking

@actionjetzon what kind of sounds can it make, I listened to the downloads but they weren't that helpful

you can make really usefull warm basses with the MFB....errrm, man thats hard to describe!:)
You can compare it a bit with the Sequential Circuits Pro One or the Minimoog. --> the filter circuit should be the same. But it isn´t as powerfull as the Mini...
The glide fuction and the Lfo make also some quirky, blurrring sounds possible...
i like it!
