okay.. i decided that i need to relly hear what i'm making. i've been mixing down in my headphones (i know i know.. not good) and on shitty stereo speakers (not good either.. i know!). i've been debating on what to get for a while now. i'm trying to keep it under $500-$600 (us$) and i'm looking for powered speakers. i'm looking at the tannoy reveal actives and the alesis m1 active mkII's... anyone have any opinions on the two or know of any other good competition in the price range?

What about spirit absolute 4Ps? Own the zeros myself, and rate them...

then i'd have nothin to listen to on the speakers!

anyone ever hear the hhb circle 3's? so far my choices are tannoy reveal active, spirit 4ps (thanks mark), hhb circle 3, and (i'm not sure on these) alesis m1 actives. i'm also looking into the older genelec 1029a. anyone use them? i'd love to spend more money on good speakers but i can't afford anything too amazing.

hmm haven't tried the 1029a, however a friend of mine's got a pair of 1030a's... and seriously, if I had 1500 dollars just lying around, I'd definetely get a pair of those; very good reference, yet for some reason my ears don't get as tired as they do when I'm using my tannoy reveal (which I find ok)..

well, dinner time. peace out
