How do you think your team is going to fare this week in the CL?

My team haven't encouraged too much confidence from me in recent weeks with their domestic perfromances, but hey - "keep believing".

Mcleish will no doubt make some daft decisions over the course of the evening. which is a shame because porto are there for the taking.

Still but, gers in the champions league. yas.

scant consolation given your dismal domestic form...at least you have nothing to lose really, so you might as well go for it in Europe.

scant consolation indeed, because as everyone knows, the SPL is the true champions league. fnarr.

Well, it would be laughable if you were winning all your games...or even sitting 3rd, or even 4th. Probably best to avoid delusions of grandeur at this point in time. At least with the tactical genius that is McLeish at the helm.

You know those cheap 99p balls you get in seaside junk shops - sometimes it seems like the modern ball moves like one of those - ever, remember playing football with one of 99p jobs - it'd buldge out eventually near the valve and fucking corkscrew around like a muthafucker - then some dog would get it on the beach and off to the shops for another 99p special

Weren't Man U absolutely gash - they're fucked without Roy 'thug' Keane... Someone was telling me that they're grooming Alan Smith to be his replacement - somehow doesn't cut it really - they you are facing Man U, making headway in the middle of the park - thinking any minute now that thug of an Irishman is gonna come barrelling straight at my legs - and what do you see instead - some nob end with a bleached apikey hairdo - quick nutmeg and huzzah you've scored!

Patrick
19th October 2005, 18:47
Yup, I thought man yoo were gash last night. One of our poorest performances for a long time.

Ronaldo has been arrested on rape charges so it looks like our woes are set to continue.

grobelaar
20th October 2005, 14:01
Chelsea were convincing last night - could they do the treble? Early days yet, but they're tying the league up early - and as usual there's loads of people bleating about caps and limits - the fact is - Chelsea early lead is down to the piss poor performance of the other main teams.

The irony of tonight is, if we win and Inter win against Porto we will be in possibly our best position ever to qualify for the second phase of the Champions League only needing one point or possibly no points from our last two games, an achievement that our managers who were given far more millions to spend couldn't manage(?). Yet the manager could be out regardless of tonights result. That's what he gets though for our worst start in the domestic league for 20 years.

Paddy
1st November 2005, 11:32
do you think it's the end of eck john?

Level
1st November 2005, 11:47
I'd say for sure. The club are well aware of the discontent from the stands and even had two rows of mounted police and a riot van outside the main door at Ibrox on saturday for a protest that never happened, but if it had been nicer weather I'm sure it would have. :)

I know people who have never taken to Eck since the day he arrived and I have never done anything other than support him up until now. Things are now at the stage where change is a must.

Yer_Maw
1st November 2005, 11:55
he is tactically inept, and for some mad reason cant see simple fuck ups and shite players that even the ordinary cunt in the pub can see - and for a change is actually right. Its only luck thats got him this far, and worringly he thinks its his doing. That said, i dont see him getting sacked mid season, and if he gets to the next stage of the CL then his lucky ginger napper will do me just fine.

Under any other circumstances I'd agree, but we're also mid table with a quarter of the league fixtures played so a bit of managerial upheaval at this stage when there are no signs of improvement wouldn't go amiss.

Yer_Maw
1st November 2005, 12:10
dont get me wrong, i want him to go. i just dont think david murray is in the buisness of sacking managers like that.

Level
1st November 2005, 12:14
I don't think he'll get sacked either. Mints silence during this has been pretty ominous though and I'm sure some agreement with Eck will be worked out where we get told that "by mutual agreement.....blah blah...."
