Macallan 12 (18 if i'm feelin' saucy), i like wines.. especially pinot gris, and for beers i'd say boddingtons and goose island (it's a chicago beer). when i wanna get f'd i get this "georgia moon" corn whiskey stuff. nothin like good ol' moonshine to destroy your perception of reality. i wish i could try absinth but it's not all that legal here in the u.s.

that's a different kind than the original. note the extra "e" on the and of it. it has no opium or whatever they put in absinth. i want to try the real stuff.

I think u'll find the real stuff has some kind of flower with reported hallucinagenic properties...but don't take my word for it
(worm wood its called in the UK ??)

As for me:
Vodka
Vodka
Vodka

Sheridan
4th December 2002, 17:17
opium is not the ingredient you are thing of. it is wormword.
a lab instructor at my school told me about the site. he ordered some from there and he said it he got a great drunk/high off of it.
he said he got real drunk and all the lights at the club he went to were fucking with him bad, like acid. not 100% sure if it is the REAL stuff (probably not), but it would be worth a try. I am going to get some sometime soon.
also I am thinking that is real difficult to get true absinthe since it only legal in a few countries and basically illegal everywhere else.

owain_k

@ sheridan

The first time i tried it was in Switzerland, real homebrew style...

Swear I went blind..........eeeeeeeerrrrrrr rrrrzzzzzzzzzz

i´ve only tried out the Absint that is avalible in sweden and denmark. it´s green liqoid and has a stranges guy on the label.
don´t know how hardcore the real shit is. but the Eabsint knocked me out the share after a couple of glases, hihi.
last thing i remeber from that night is that a Bartend ran up to me in the streets after i´ve tried to smuggle two glases of beer out of a pizza/bar place at möllan in malmö.

wiiii !

I feel I must make representations for Brandy, quite possibly the finest and most stylish spirit in the land... All the variety of whisky with the finesse of champagne, truly a drink for Kings and Emperors (and fortunately, totally wasted party people)...

Roll up, roll up all those who want to join the Brandy Klub...

Rule 1: Buy a bottle of Brandy

Rule 2: Buy another bottle of Brandy

Rule 3: If this is your first time at Brandy Klub, then you must drink Brandy...

Patron silver chilled, can't go wrong with this

I also love Crown Royal

For beer, there is too many to mention. I love most of the Oregon stuff, esp. full sail, Newcastle, bass, guiness, Sapporo

Absinthe is available in the states, its about $45 for a fifth by my house, and comes with the spoon kit, but it is not the real deal, no worm wood, so no funny stuff, thus you might as well drink ouzo.

Lately I've been drinking Tecate out of the can with salt, lime juice, and tobassco. I love this stuff, you can drink it all night, fast and steady

the oregon beers are usually really good.
beer is a way of life up in these parts.
i'm always down for a bottle of Chimay (blue label) or Ommegang,
when i want to drink like a king.
when i'm cheaping out, Pacifico or Negra Modelo.
Tequila is an old friend. the one in the tall, blue bottle who's name
i can't remember is my fave (anyone know this one?)
Hennessy V.S.O.P. when its cold outside.

ah i see. while i wouldn't have expected a beer with a name like that coming from the peaceful switzerland i rather would've guessed it's from belgium for they have beers such as "mort subite". lol

Well Switzerland is not so peaceful as you think... ;) There's also a lot of "micro"-brewery making great beers... but the industrial beer (like feldschlössen) tastes like piss...
The "mort subite" is a good one but the name isn't so good chosen as for the "fin du monde"... Another great canadian beer with so a pretty name : "Maudite"... lol

None of you Pussy Lightweights up for some Brandy then? Faffiing around with these kiddies drinks like Jager and Absinthe, so obvious no style or class!

I must say I'm disappointed in the No-future board - I expected so much more...

Hey i'll pass the courvasier and the remy with you, but only if your down to pick some fights afterwards. No such thing as a good drunk without a shiner. ;)

Maybe we should send a bottle of booze with the CD production projects, Take two shots and pass it on :) Then when it gets to the tonewreckers, he can take the last shot and break the bottle over his head.

the truth of the matter is that the only thing i wont drink is rum

i would love to get into more of a brandy way of life grobelaar. i may need to come to london and hang with your crew to get some insight.

the absinth thing is tricky. we bought two big bottles over the internet 4 years ago because it was still illegal here or whatever - its not now...

and it was not a good addition to an already over crazy and sordid time. the problem is youve got to piss about with spoons and sugar and whatever, and when you come back to the house after a club that goes out the window. lets just say knocking back neat absinth is going to do no-one any favours at all

if you want a hardcore, purest No Future of drinks, one that has featured in UNTOLD debauched nights with the crew then here it is, the vodka floater

you will need:

vodka (preferably a nice one, but any old supermarket own brand will do in extremis)
coca-cola
thin cotton material (preferably muslin, but someones tshirt will be fine)
a glass (tumbler size)
a spoon (for professionals)

pour about two - three fingers worth of coke into the glass. stretch the material over the top of the glass, making a little well in the middle. pour in a sensible amount of vodka into the well, slowly stretching it taut. you can scrape the material with a spoon to clear all the vodka if you arent too caned already. hold your drink up to the light and you will see the vodka suspended on top of the coke. the lucky recipient must drink this down IN ONE it wont work otherwise. you will find yourself dancing upon tables very soon...but be warned the maximum of these you want to have is THREE.

@ Emma

sounds a good-un !

Hav u tried the same with Orange Juice + Vodka that has been kept in the deep freeze....? has been a small Cardiff speciality for a while !

Also, Vodka shots with Lime Cordial always goes down a treat but if all else fails, on the rocks does the trick....
