does anyone on the board play poker? me and dom_90 are gonna get a poker night on the go soon. get a set of chips, a fiver each in the pot and we're away, no limits texas hold 'em. i cannae wait.

played texax hold'em with some friends about 5 months ago.

i can honestly say its fucking amazing, you get into it so quick and your totally hooked. the chips are well cool to nice weight and an wicked sound when you throw them into the middle

Love poker, especially Texas Hold 'Em...just establish the the house rules prior or there could be confusion.

I played at a mates house the other day with proper stupid rules, you could use ANY of the 5 cards on the river without having to use any of the two dealt to you. lol I know, completely insane...i lost 15 quid cos i couldn't get my head round it..made no sense.

If ever any of you scots make it to Londinium i'd be well up for sorting out a game round my gaff.

i'm generally no gambler either, but if you've got a few mates to put a fiver into the pot and get a few beers in (not too many), you get a good nights entertainment and the chance to win a few quid. whats a fiver if you think about it, two pints?

i love it... used to play it all the time with mates...

you're right niknak.. even sticking £10/15 in each doesn't exactly break the bank and costs no more than a friday night in the pub. Its all worth it for the one week you end up clearing out your mates!

None of us were particularly good enough to win consistently either - so it ended up being a bit of an ever circulating pot of cash which changed hands from week to week.
