this one's wreckin my head!
basically i've got an EM-1 a mate has an ER-1
my mates ER-1 has broken and needs to be returned for repair only he doesn't want any chance of losing the stuff he's written already

i'm basically clueless as to how to get the midi data saved off somehow without having to laboriously copy each part while noting the preset no and control positions
with 256 patterns and 10 parts to each it'll take forever!

i've tried logic 4.7 and those gates of hell swung firmly open

i've been given a copy of emagics sounddiver only the version i've got doesn't contain an EM-1 plugin
its got an ER-1 plugin - but i've no way of testing stuff on mine before we try it on his

the korg manual is a bag of crap it just says check the midi channel numbers are the same and press the dump button
its how to capture the info i've got the problems with

any help appreciated - i'm pullin my hair out here and i've wanted to dump my own stuff for a while anyway
oh and i'm on a pc
cheers
dave

ok you need to download midox or some other midi liberian, you can get that from www.midox.com and then you do to sysex recieve and then go to send dump on the electribe and it will save everything. If you downlaod the program and read the manual and just read the electribe manual you should be cool:)

right thats the wrong url, I'll find it and post later, but basically you load the program set it up and then do what you said it says in the manual. It will then transfer all the data and staore it
