New York hangouts

Im in NY the weekend of the 14th of december and i was wondering if anybody knows about parties, gigs etc going on there....
also, does anybody know any good record shops in NY... I've been to the satellite-shop but there has to be much more in NY, right?

satellite records.it in the bowery,near the 9/11 site.if you go anywhere go there.sonic is good.if you enjoy d&b got to breakbeat science.its off in soho.somewhere i cant remeber.[p]

throb records and temple records is nice as well.
just go to a record store, you will find out about what is going on no prob.
I think deithrich shoenamann still has a techno night in new york. go to sonic groove to find out.

Start at sonic groove and ask about other shops, I was there a few months back and hit up as many shops as i could, but honestly i liked Sonic groove the best. Plus you can pick up one of those small flyer magazines that will have all the event listing and shops.

Oh by the way Breakbeat science has moved, so make sure you get the latest address. If you like D&B this place has a ton of White Lables.
