Very shocking stuff @ Brighton's Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Who'd want to grow old in this country ?

didn't see it.

my nan died in hospital after she had surgery for cancer. the surgery was successful but then she contracted that MRSA and her body was too weak to fight it - she suffered a stroke due to the strain, and well - she died.

i am pretty convinced that if the hospital hadn't have been so filthy, and her care had been that little better she would have recovered.

their attitude to old people can be quite shocking. they just want rid of them as quick as possible, if that means killing them then so be it. my gran almost died cos nobody bothered to give her anything to drink

then my mum noticed her empty drip. luckily. before that they were telling us 'oh i don't think she'll last much longer' etc. she lived another year or so. but she would've died then if my ma hadn't noticed. i wonder how many old ladies get killed by dehydration that way?
