actually that looks like it might even be up the hill. no escape

Pinapples - "Whit? I thought you couldnt get tickets?"

M - "Just gonna go down and get in anyways."

too funny.

Gasters never appealled to me - all I ever think is nee toilets, few hundred for the tickets and travel just for lots of commercial music - so office workers to predend to be hippies for a few days.

Glastonbury is funny as fuck
Who paid before a couple of years ago? No-one I know
Who remembers what music they heard? No-one I know ;)
You go for the crack - but in these conditions....

I did both of these things in 1994, and it was fucking great - my best friend bunked in the same year and also had a wicked time.Glastonbury is great. Now I just feel deeply ashamed of myself for feeling glad it's flooded this year so I can stop being gutted about not going.

Hope my friends are alright though! You could get trenchfoot in those conditions.

I only ever paid once but went 8 times. Glastonbury's cool, but I'm glad I didn't go this year seeing those pics!

I must admit feeling a slight feeling of 'muahahaha' style evil when I saw the pics.. but then I reckon those sort of circumstances could actually lead to it being really wicked.. if you have the right attitude for it... a bit like the war...

penciLneck
25th June 2005, 23:48
yeah, isn't war great...

Hagbard

I was about 200 yards up the hill from where that picture was taken. I woke up on Friday morning to heavy rain, and a river running through the middle bit (not the sleeping berths) of the tent. My suit managed to remain fairly unscathed, bit muddy, but will easily brush off. Plus I got married to a girl I met there on Sunday night, bonus.

I only saw 6 people this year, though, Elvis Costello (who was pretty good); 2 Lone Swordsmen (who were fucking excellent); Cassetteboy & DJ Rubbish and Barry Evans DJing badly (all excellent); New Order (pretty good, but they played World In Motion and didn't play Blue Monday); Jamie Lidell (speechlessly fantastic); and Brian Wilson (who was bloody excellent. His band are so tight).

Tec
28th June 2005, 15:43
Hang on, you got hitched? Legally?

Loz
28th June 2005, 15:47
I doubt it is a legal marraige. We did get married by a Nun in hotpants and fishnet tights, after all.

decadnids
28th June 2005, 15:47
loz - was it one of those jumping over a stick kind of marriages?

Loz
28th June 2005, 15:58
no stick jumping involved

once my wife sends me the photographs, I'll show a picture of the happy moment

Tec
28th June 2005, 16:20
Did you consumate it then?

decadnids
28th June 2005, 16:30

I think we can take that as a "no" then. I bet she was wetter than her tent as well!!

JE:5
28th June 2005, 16:54
I suppose all that fumbling around with flaps was to make an exit from the tent then?

Loz
28th June 2005, 16:54
you won't get it out of me, I promised that I wouldn't tell anyone

I missed everything I wanted to see (Rubbish/Cassette + Lidell) cos I had to be checking in for things. I saw Squarepusher though, who was really good.

Rubbish/Barry/Cassetteboy did a backstage gig at the pyramid stage too where Rubbish was apparently very rude to all the people sitting "networking" in the green room instead of checking out the massive festival outside.

On the whole, all the best bits of the festival were spent talking rubbish in the green fields, as usual.

Loz
28th June 2005, 18:17
oh, and I really scared Spandex' girlfriend, I reckon

Spandex
28th June 2005, 18:20
hehehe.. nah.. not scared :) Her mate thought you were Ford Prefect for some reason.

Loz
28th June 2005, 18:23
she definitely had that took on her face that said "who IS this guy, and why doesn't he go away?"

think I might have won her over by the end, though, she seemed less worried by Saturday.

Lovely to meet you, though, even if we failed to hook up Sunday night (I was occupied with my wife, perhaps doing something, perhaps not)

Spandex
28th June 2005, 18:24
alol ... no she didn't want you to go away. she did ask me later "had he been taking drugs?"

Spandex
28th June 2005, 18:25
Yeah.. our Sunday was our big night out. Shame you didn't make it up to the green fields.. no idea what time I texted you. No idea what time anything happened tbh.

Loz
28th June 2005, 18:28
the answer was yes

you texted me at 3:18

Spandex
28th June 2005, 22:53
I already told her "yes".

Hope you weren't in bed with the missus.

Loz
