come to chicago and try to just get on a flyer period. i apparently don't know the "right people", but the "right people" always seem to be dumb fucks you wouldn't want to associate with anyways. it's frustrating to pay to see dj's you're better than. i hate coming off as arrogant or egotistical, but i know deep down that i truly am better than a lot of the dj's that get attention around this town.

you know i havent spun out in about two years and this was a key reason.ive had my share of headliner experences and have throughly enjoyed it,but the fact of the matter is i spin shit too deep for most people and maybe you guys too.maybe.but i feel the itch to share once again and spin to a crowd that will appreciate a down tempo set.are they out there?
-----------------------------------------------
_7585-i spent most of my life in portland and never got a chance to spin out.id love to travel back home and visit all of my friends soon, and go see my old house in the raleigh hills.hope you get your spot,if you need a tag team parttner im right here.
-----------------------------------------------
_ piscaries-how id love to just go to chicago,my favorite labels are in town, and i have a couple of long term freinds there.spinning there would also be a great pleasure.

Start your own night, form a collective. The important thing is that you enjoy playing tunes to people, wherever you are on the bill.
If you're all equal then it doesn't matter where you are on the flyer.
superstar dj's are accidents, and I'm sure the good ones didn't get where they were by worrying about their position on the flyer

i don't mean to come off as a sore loser. i just find it a genuine kick in the teeth when i've been doing this quite awhile and still get treated like i'm inexperienced.
-piscaries--it sucks that one has too kiss so much ass in order to even get a shot at playing somewhere. i've met countless talentless dj's who admit that, they can't mix for shit yet, with personality, have been able to land so many gigs. its frustrating and makes you want to start stabbing people but what else can you do. just tough it out.
-pille'ocheoni--come visit Portland. im down to tag anytime.

by the way, 7875... you dont say how long you have been trying, you said awhile... how long mixing at home and how long playing out.
