Lets start a band...

I'll sing - Knid can write the words (he's on Mute you know) - spandex can play his cheesy bell...

Lalaalaaa oi oi ooooh baby yeah!

kams

V Knid esq
17th May 2005, 01:02
I can do the Wyclef Jean thing and shout "one time... two time" after every other line.

kams
17th May 2005, 01:03
your booked son...

kams
17th May 2005, 01:07
anyone fancy the tambourine and bottle of gin job?

thembuzz
17th May 2005, 01:11
i'll play kazoo

gypsy_cream
17th May 2005, 01:13
i can sing really well in a trashy out of tune voice

kams
17th May 2005, 01:15
ok knid send me a sample of you singing 'one time'

& thembuzz - send me little riff on the kazoo..

to kams_tcp@yahoo.com

i'll get started on the arrangement. Anyone else want to join in?

kams
17th May 2005, 01:16

Spandex
17th May 2005, 01:19
I can do disco monobass with PITCH BEND.

I'm buying a washboard as well.. with a jalopy horn.

kams
17th May 2005, 01:20

TheWasp
17th May 2005, 01:28

kams
17th May 2005, 01:29

Tim Exile
17th May 2005, 01:34

Yer_Maw
17th May 2005, 10:29
I can play timpani, this it, if anyone has a set i can borrow?

V Knid esq
17th May 2005, 11:16
I'm play a mean pink oboe solo too.

kams
17th May 2005, 11:28
I'm serious (in a not very serious way) everyone send me some samples of themselves playing silly instruments... we could pass around and get others in for remixy fun. Then Tim can mix it into a top ten House track and we can all go on top of the pops and pull moonies.

kams
17th May 2005, 11:30
To be honest Knid - i'd rather you didn't send me any recordings of your pink oboe solo. One mans sweaty grunting should remain his own pleasure.

Orang Utan
17th May 2005, 11:51
Need a trumpet player?

kams
17th May 2005, 12:27
Of course. You can stand to the side of the stage and do a little dance in time with the horn stabs.

Paddy
17th May 2005, 12:49
i'll play the saw. i'll play the comb too.

kams
17th May 2005, 12:51
at the same time? This is no gimmick band you know!

Maybe you can alternate between them on different verses?

Paddy
17th May 2005, 12:53
yeah, i meant to say i'll play them alternately.
i can't actually play the saw but i've always wanted to learn!

kams
17th May 2005, 13:24

Ava
17th May 2005, 13:45

kams

What's a kalimba decadnids? I've only ever known it as one of the mysterious high-number general midi instruments, alongside the caliope and celesta.

kams
17th May 2005, 16:45

Ava

decanids do you buy or make your own contact mics?
i'm looking to get myself a couple in the summer to start doing some audio stuff again.

decadnids
17th May 2005, 18:22
FiST - yeah make my own use a piezo transducer and solder it to a mono-jack plug.

http://www.mcld.co.uk/oddmu/tincanbass/piezotransducer.jpg

well cheap to make. then just tape the thing to what ever (good for acoustic guitars; floor boards; glass; the side of a bucket - anything really)

Hagbard
17th May 2005, 18:22
I've made my own contact mics, piece of piss and dirt cheap.

If anyone knows anything about commercially available ones then do tell.. other than the £10 acoustic guitar type jobbies.

Loz

can I do the dance when we're on Top Of The Pops?

yeh total piece of piezo to make but i kept breaking them, being a bit clumsy. looking for ones that are a bit more sturdy really.
cheers tho.

kams
18th May 2005, 08:59
can we take the contact mic chit chat, interesting as it is, to the audiotech forum perhaps kids? Blimey - we're trying to start a band here!

Loz - yes you can do a dance... would you like to be in charge of costumes as well?

TheWasp
18th May 2005, 11:25
i also have a didgeridoo , i'm piss on it , but i could club anyone who laughs at us with it

kams
18th May 2005, 13:10
yes agreed - digeridoo's are best used as weapons rather than instruments.

Daddys Girl
18th May 2005, 13:36
Oh yeah - I can go for that!
In between dancing, I could belt out a nice tune on my recorder - or sing a bit too

kams
18th May 2005, 13:39
yes yes all good - we're lining up nicely now!

Loz
18th May 2005, 18:03
