So, it's in the local rag round here that Dimitri Hegemann wants to excavate the actual "Safe" part of the Tresor (i.e. the tresor itself) and transplant it to a new location...
is he insane or does he just have more money than sense? I suppose seeing as it is just a big safe it would come out in one piece, but what the hell are they going to drag it out with?
Although if they pull it off, fair play, just don't know if I could see it happening...

A crane mate. When i was a student i used to work on a 200 ft crane and they could handle that no problem.

In fact you could use a tiny crane and still have no probslems.
Cost of hire isnot that much. so i really don't seee what the problem is.

Who is Dimitri Hegemann?

If he had more money than sense then he'd commission Daniel Libeskind to design him an entirely new Tresor club. I saw some of Libeskind's rejected proposals for areas of Berlin that have being rebuilt post demolition of wall - they're pretty insane to say the least...

Dimitri is the Tresor Head honcho..

I don't think a new building would suit the tresor vibe, I mean the building is in that kind of "falling to pieces" kind of style... Warren pointed out somewhere in the street at the top end of Mitte yesterday (was wandering the streets on a shopping trip) that had that run down vibe to it, who knows what will happen in the end...
I'd love to see what kind of crane is going to pull the tresor out of the ground though, or is civil engineering of this scale not so out of the question? just the whole concept seemed a bit mad, but I suppose it's perfectly possible...
