yes, think so, too...i wonder, if the next pope will see the signs of time and will be a little bit more "open-minded". the catholic church is to "old-school" in my opinion

I just hope he holds on til Monday - I work at a TV channel and I am working this weekend - if he croaks, it'll really fuck up the schedules

There's a great letter in this month's Viz, which says something like "I find it ironic that the Pope, with his well-known beliefs concerning condoms and abortion, continues to defy God's will and get medical attention to prolong his life".

No chance.
He'll go in round the back door as usual. ;)
LOL, you would all get lynched here in Poland :)
From about a week every serious newspaper here publishes 'pope health news' on the front page. 'It's worse, it's better, it's worse again, it's very good, it's much worse...' - what the fuck is this to cover half of the newspaper front page ? :)

i hate it how they make a tv show with it. like the countdown to his death with slogans like "the pope's last hours .... ". it's disguisting. why don't they let him die in peace. but all in all i think he was an ok pope.
btw today harald junke, one of germans biggest actors and entertainers died. they only said a few words about his death on the telly.

he was the first pope that visited other countries. poor countries, too. don't get me wrong , i'm not religious or something, but a lot of other people are. for example when he visited my home country croatia, over a million people came to see him. that was after the war, and he spoke in positive words to them and gave them hope. that's ok, i think. he was not just an icon that rules the church from the vatican, he was going to the people.

And well he should have travelled in this day and age.
He had no excuse not to as he even had a car he could stand up, walk about and get a good stretch in on long journeys.

Me either, that is why I can make light of it all as well as sympathise with all those around the world who will be left with a huge void in their lives when Papa does finally pass away.

i don't mind if he dies, too. i hope the next one will make one more step fowards. not for me, but for the people you're talking about.

Indeed, the least these people deserve is a progressive Popery.
