ok what is everyone's favorite video game and or gaming system?
for me I love the old nintendo 8 bit of course. I do like the ps2 but I don't own one due to lack of funds. so for me it is the sega dreamcast, which I think was a fabulous system. goog graphics and some great games. my top picks all around though:

1. the tony hawk skateboarding series
2. soul calibur
3. fifa soccer series
4. grand theft auto 3
5. ninja gaiden

just off the top of my head at the moment. what about everyone else?

Nester 8bit Nintendo emulator single cd with 600 full games..ruling!
just got the Colecovision emulator as well..single disc about 300 games. Smurf adventures, Zaxxon, whole Donkey Kong series, Jungle Hunt, Congo Bongo, etc...

the sounds in these old game are soo gritty and funky..I'll be hooking this up to my sampler after a bit to get some new sounds yanked out of these songs.

Soul Caliber is really good , But I've always been a big fan of Viruta Fighter. I love shun man, Fucking drunken fist forever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But overall I'm kinda jaded on gaming

I love the basketball games though, sega makes the best !

soul calibur is good, although for me the best fighter games ever remain mk & mk3. mk2 was good too, but just not as good as mk & mk3....

Yeahh, GTA3 rules, with Slayer, Soulfly, Clawfinger and Korn as Background... I love the mp3 player on the PC game.... And the mods you can do on the cars... ;)

yeah well, I find tekken 3 lacking as well; only characters worth playing are Xiaoyu, Whoarang, Eddy, and sometimes Lei.

Otherwise, have you guys tried out Dead or alive 3 on the Xbox? Hate the control pad for the Xbox, but the game is ok (a little too easy to win by just pressing all the buttons at once though).

half-life, system shock 2 (<-classics section), rtcw (multiplayer still the best), gta 3 (on pc, more features, better graphics), no-one lives forever, need for speeds etc... and the new ut2k3 has some really incredible graphics !

on c64 - too many to mention really...

what?!... you must have played the original to little. the title is great, or maybe it has brainwashed me because its only like 20 seconds and repeating it self all the time.
the game is great, especially when you are two players because then one can be bruce and the other one is the big green sumo fighter.

btw I see that it has been some talking about which that is the best head 2 head fighting game.
my opinion: International Karate, IK+ or Exploding Fist... just simple and awesome. especially the trashed bruce lee samples :D
