Hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend! I’ll be the first to brag about mine. I got taken by a special friend straight from work to a beautiful village called Ingleton in North Yorkshire. It was a heck of a long journey, we checked in at half one!!

You’ve probably never heard of it but Ingleton nestles in the foothills of Ingleborough on the edge of those amazing Limestone Dales. It was so beautiful, so postcard. We saw how glaciation had produced all these crazy scars, erratics, high cliffs and deep dry as a bone gorges.

We walked and chatted nonsense for about 8 miles on Saturday and saw the largest cave chamber in the country, called the Gaping Gill (sounds like a friend from school! lol) If it had been the summer apparently you can get winched down. Caving looks really fun, not many caves in Bethnal green though!

Had a lovely pub dinner in the evening and managed to fall asleep very quickly. 8 miles is a long way! Sunday had a rather arduous journey back to the smog.

Great times!

Man, i had a stoopid dream last night..utterly bizarre then in real-time I woke my missus up around 3am with a rather unpleasant fart and she cried out "holy moses!" lol

If she insists are feeeding me this rich food from her posh food boutique then prepare for the consequences..

Locked myself away in a darkened room to finish off a tune with a mate.

Pretty sad, but you have to act on your inspiration.

Saturday afternoon, spent 4 hours driving round building sites looking for breeze blocks to build a deck stand for my mate - unfortunately we couldn't find pristine, non dusty breeze blocks for the picky git so we ended up raiding B&Q at 7.30pm - finished product looks wicked tho

Then put my speakers up on my new brackets, I looked at the wall, though yeah head hight, drilled, attached brackets, attached speakers.

Guess what, should have taken the height of the speakers off my calculation.

Know what I'm doing next weekend though :D

@ schlongfingers

Most of my DIY shelf putting up episodes end on a similar cliff hanger.

DIY is such fun innit :D

I did entertain ideas of hanging the speakers from the speaker bracket supports with some kind of elaborate pulley system, but they are above my decks...

Orang Tang - " dinner at Mildred's on Saturday. "

Yes! I love Mildreds, their mushroom and stout pie with chips and mushy peas is yummy and do try their banana and maple cheesecake absolutely scummy! They do good organic wines as well!

Mate it looks wicked I want one too :D waiting till I get me own house tho, then I shall breeze block furnish the entire place! Unless you can locate some easily appropriatable breeze blocks, it's gonna set ya back about 16 quid for the materials.

Should pick up me new car on Friday so can do this weekend if you're around.

I had a top weekend actually... Down to Brighton for the evening Saturday, heard some of Chungking's new material for their next album which is properly mental in the head psychedelic prog glam soul madness, then went to the pub where my mates Lee & Sal were having a Ramones Party for their birthdays. Despite having lost her voice, Sally did a brilliant Joey Ramone impression:

<img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v675/knid/Pic132.jpg">

Caught up with a few Chelmsford crew there too, which is always a pleasure...

Yesterday I did a full marathon 8 1/2 hour chillout DJ session in Bar Story in Peckham... fuck all money in it after my taxi, but really nice free food & beer, and I love the bar and soundsystem, so I'm going to keep the Sundays up weekly hoping that if we get enough people along regularly I can start asking for more cash... great to see Laszlo and DJ Rubbish there amongst others... plus a pair of girls doing very very naughty dancing every time I put on a soul tune, one of whom is now set up for a date with my mate Jules... very pleasing that my music has catalysed a bit of fun & frolics (and good vicarious thrills for an out-of-the-market Knid) :)

Somehow I even managed to get up early tonight and pass my Driving Theory Test 8-()

Phil, I'm starting to think someone should collect all your postings from the internet and archive them (especially the Squat Diary) cos they are brilliant pieces of comedy in their own right and shouldn't be forgotten about or left on some server to be deleted.

Saturday, leisurely walk from Holloway to Trafalgar Square, via Regent’s Park and Hyde Park – took some photos of the demonstration – most interesting ones were off the Police spy unit, some dude in sniper like uniform, carrying some harnessed monster cam that combines a long-lens Digital SLR, a mini-DV cam and a couple of flashguns. I don’t think he liked me taking pictures of him.

Sunday, made a monster pot of chile-con-carne, watched Grand Prix, wrote out half my CV, watched crap BBC1 drama.

that crap drama wasn't 'Archangel' by any chance?...

went out on saturday - bit of shopping & enjoyed some of that random sunshine, which has now vanished.

had a bit of a pie-out with my Milka chocolate I received from Germany this weekend (you're a star, sweetie!!!)

and then, to inject some culture into my life, I watched the arena show on the bbc about francis bacon & then the film on him later on...

@ knid - congrats on passing the test.

Yes, it was it was pretty terrible - if the general plot is pretty much the same in the novel I really can't see it getting any better. I only half watched the second part, while writing my CV - but I could well imagine it being an airport fiction special and wasn't surprised to see based on novel by Robert Harris at the end - but there wasn't anything to it, I mean don't even think the leading characters bothered to get it on and I could have been watching Commando instead...
