I'm not sure which I find more abhorent...
The good ole days when if you wanted something you went and fucked someone over, usually justifying it on the grounds that they were in same way different or just plain fucking inferior to you... and obviously didn't deserve to have what i want, I mean they nicked it off us anyway... I mean at least its honest ('cept the last bit)...
or...
Today where you get a bunch of lawyers to sit talking a fucking mountain of horse shit (and I tell you Bush must have on huge stockpile of horse shit) about how we are perfectly within our rights to go over and fuck everyone over, because if we don't our computers are saying that we won't be able to fill up some huge tanks with oil and justify why we can now increase the size of our economy, wealth and waistline by 5%
Its just shocking how badly things have gone in the last couple of years, its worse than the Cold War, at least then you knew it was a steely stalemate and no side was ever going to let anything happen...

yes, the usa is the last superpowernation whatever. the usa are the new rome. one day the usa will fall down, definitely. like rome did. maybe bush just had started it, maybe he will be more and more isolated from the rest of the world. or maybe theres just another senseless war because of oil with thousands of dying
the iraq-war will come, only the result is not yet clear.
btw as a german nice to see what bush&co defines as friendship...

i am an an american living in tokyo, and i feel i have been aforded some perspective as a result of being far from home... i think that war is big business, it makes for commerce and "heroes" and is also great politics for the cowboy and his daddy (Bush I, II)...
i do support taking (military) action against saddam hussein and his regime but i do not support the slaughter of innocent civillians.
my country is quite capable of solving this problem through the use of covert operations, pinpoint strategic strikes and so-forth, so why not use these resources to surgically remove this tyranical dictatorship?
instead, our friend george has chosen to pander to the ignorant by blantantly flaunting his intent on "justice", which any idiot can see is truly only revenge... in doing so, president george w. bush creates a dangerous climate of "nationalism" and flagrantly uses the global terrorism crisis as amunition for a large calliber electoral campaign.
i love and treasure the concepts that america was built on in the wake of colonialism, freedom of just about everything, equality etc., but my country has become a bad tempered and cynical land where being priviledged is seen as a curse and more than half the population is statistically apathetic... not to mention unreponsive to any concept of foreign policy.

u guys said it ,and i too live here in the usa ,and like sheridan,i take no offense,i incourage change, but one thing people have a tendency to do is bad mouth the whole thing, not saying you guys, but americans in general.we are the blahblahblahblah, who gives a fuck i dont have a say in anything,i just go day to day,and follow my dreams, atleast im striving for somthing most americans just fart around and bitch about everthing, but our system is alright i guess my freedom and work, and all of those opportunies are great.... dont get me wrong,i like it here, but im a classic example of your american that wants to go live in europe,i love europe,"hahahahaha" ive never been there but you know..... its boring here and its s e e ms like its much more evolved than this racist trailer park loving mom and pop store over here, ill make it to europe soon, and make my own decision, when i get there:note: is it hard to find work in europe if you have a shit load of "it" experence?

hmm bad thing that bush wants... here in germany we don't want a new war... our chancellor schroeder is against bushs plans, and in the time before the election 2 weeks ago it was one of the main themes in germany. why war? war is bad everytime. nobody should be for killing people. only bush... ok, when he takes a rifle and walks in front of the first us-army brigade and fires the first shot... easy to send soldiers in a desert land to fight when he's in texas at his ranch...

war:
conflict is inevitable, it is human nature.
unfortunately, in the real world; "acceptible (human) loss" (i/e/ soldiers/civillians/kids/etc.) is rationalized versus possible catastrophic use of weapons of mass distruction by a hostile dictatorship.
this is the first time in modern history that we are talking about "pre-emptive" strike. before setting that kind of standard, (the USA) has to weigh our own responsibilities, as a western super power.
the united states is the largest western/democratic player in the world, so it must be responsible for setting an example that other countries should be able emulate.
with the advent of globalization, the actions of our leaders are under a microscope at any hour of the day. what they do, directly effects global public opinion regarding the countries they represent.
US presidential election:
if bush is reelected, the united states may be headed for serious division and conflict.
is there no presidential candidate with charisma, poise, grace, courage, tolerance, and foresight? are those not the barest criteria for leadership of the free world?

saddam hussein is not going to start chucking saren or smallpox around, he has nothing to gain from it and everything to lose...like the cia said the other day, its MORE likely to happen if they attack him and his back is against the wall.
why not some carrot as well as stick?

I am sure there are a lot of people who are more than capable of being president and pushing things forward. the problem is the government is run by rich white men. a group that is hard to penetrate or bring to their knees. they have more money and influence to campaign and make people believe they are the best candidate. maybe one of us here is capable of being president, chancelor, prime minister, etc. but in the end. if you really look at it. would you want to?

time seems to shrinking shorter and shorter. everyday i can almost sense the impending doom. i live in a state where there seems to be strong opposition to attacking Iraq and those that favor it are blood thirsty rednecks. there isn't much that can be done. you can continue the protests and write your congressmen but THOSE who are really pulling all the strings are going to go ahead and do what they want to, reguardless if everyone is screaming no.
why can't the sniper take a road trip to the White House and pick a few off? eh, doesn't matter. they'd just have someone next in line for follow through with the orders.
more and more the term 'no future' rings true.

Yes, Piscaries, the economy is fucked. This is the reason we are going to war, no question. Gunjack, conflict is not inevitable(although in this case it probably is),to shrug your shoulders and put something down to "human nature," sounds like you think we have a fixed way of doing things, hopefully we are changing and evolving all the time as a species. Couldn't agree with you more on the cowboy and his daddy though, what you are requesting for a candidate for the president is a statesman. Can't think of a recent one. Can anyone else?

absolutely right about our pres.'s pronunciation of the word nuclear. it is embarrasing. My step dad says "nucular" and I always flinch when I hear someone say that. It's very trailer parkl. he can't pronounce it properly but his finger's on the button!? Even the simpsons made fun of that shit!
