I've never really heard much of their stuff.. but the last single I heard was about 2 years ago and it was pretty darn mtv pop-rock already (not that i minded, it was a pretty good track).

qotsa are amazin. but they are not pop rock, just because they are around when crap bands actually get on mtv doesnt mean that they are in the same boat as them. brilliant band.

with all the hype surrounding them why would you be surprised with mtv exposure.

every once in a blue moon mtv does something surprising
wouldn't it be nice if 120 minutes could bring back that mid80s- early 90s vibe
i think theres alot of quality bands on now that would justify another look at "alternative" rock
maybe they would air tv on the radio's video
i would like that alot

ah, qotsa were always essentially a pop band. i figured they were pretty accessible - strong melodies, proper singing and all that

nick oliveri, the undressed man, left/was sacked early last year. he started a new band. can't remember what they're called, but i understand they represented a return to his stoner-rock roots. pretty good by most accounts

the track i was talking about is "no one knows". it's on the wire freebie ceedee march issue. it's on the jazz-skiffle tip, and the lyrics sound like they're being gargled. it's fucking brilliant. and yeah, the mf doom interview is excellent.

i've just realised, it's only a free ceedee to subscribers! sorry.

The Divine Comedy do a great cover of one of their songs. Can't remember which one, the famous one that's not Feel Good Hit Of The Summer.

I was given QOTSA's first album, which is rubbish.

Millionaire, who are related to them in some fashion, are great, though.

i like dave grohl. he's sexy.

yeah, he's in the video for no one knows...played on some of the Lp too.

grohl has a new project where he has done songs with all of the greats from the world of metal and punk that is getting good feedback.

i find the fact you fiind him sexy a bit disturbing though - he's such a rubber face.

that project is called - Probot.. it's been out for a while now and quite passable

grohl is kinda a cool cat sometimes..
