yeah i've been to jamies performance last week. it was mindblowing! absolutely wicked, he's the chef-rocker for sure. the things he did with the tape - just cool. i'd say this was a real live-show.

that pullover he wore - quasimodo would have felt ashamed.

what about darius james, the guy that did the liveword? i had problems following him cos he was speaking so fast and with crazy dialects. it was hard enough to follow the stories but almost impossible to get all the jokes. i gave it up at this black panther thing.

what really pissed me off were most of the people around. they surely understood half as much as i did only but they were laughing very much every time he used words like 'dick', 'cunt', ect.. idiots are everywhere.

You're right about the idiots. I'm from NYC, so I thought what the reading was good, but I actually had to walk outside for a breath during the reading, precisely because of those "idiots" laughing in all the WRONG places. eeeehh.

The "tape thing" was amazing. He had an old reel-to-reel machine with tapes of (his?) material. He was actually doing live tape manipulation (and rewinds) and sampling them...he gave the sound-system there a rough ride for sure.
