AfrikaAware is a mixed compilation of tracks donated by 37 of the world's
leading Techno producers including: Surgeon, Cari Lekebusch, Steve Stoll,
DJ Slip, Woody McBride, Gaetano Parisio, Subhead and Justin Berkovi. For a
full track listing, see the website below. AfrikaAware's mission is to
raise awareness about the HIV/Aids epidemic on the African Continent. 100%
of the post-production profits will go to Fountain of Hope, a Zambian
community-based NGO which supports orphan and refugee children made homeless
by HIV/AIDS, civil conflict, and poverty in Southern Africa. The funds will
be used directly to purchase food, clothing, and construction materials -
having an immediate impact on the children's lives.
This project is a statement of what the electronic-music industry can
generate when they donate their time, talents, and resources. It is now
time for the record stores to join this team. This CD has been a year in
the making, and this is the most crucial moment, getting the CD to the
