78 albums - it's crazy isnt it?

how many of those are compilations though? quite a lot of those seem to be released.

you only ever see the same ones in shops and as for vinyl - well it's tough to track down

i only own 9 albums and one 12"

i have to rush out and get the re-issued 'hex enduction hour' - it's widely believed to be one of their best, and a record i have been searching for for some time.

I must admit that whilst I have respect for Mark E Smith, I've never really "got" the Fall. I liked "I am Kurious Oranj", "Cab it Up" and "Dead Beat Descendant" but a lot of it has passed me by.

fair dos.

the first album i got into was 'i am curious orang'. cris and i still are a bit obsessed with his version of 'jerusalem'. could be a desert island discs contender for me, that one.

btw apologies for continuously spelling curious with a c and not a k.

similarly, while i always seem to enjoy their tracks when i hear them i don't actually own any albums. only thing i have is the 'victoria' 7"

i have seen them live once though and they were great. it was at reading festival at sunset..mark e smith standing at an old school wooden lecturn, papers blowing off in the wind and the setting sun reflecting in the bass drum...

i'll have to check out that 'hex..' re-release i think! i'm guessing he probably does funny little single album deals or summat...although i have no idea to be honest..

well some of them seem to be self -released. but yes it is a bit of a mystery how it all works. the most recent one was on action records, whoever they are.

I know this guy who engineered on a fall album at a studio in the midlands, he said Mark E Smith wouldn't leave the studio without his gun...

I think the only Fall I own is 'This Nation's Saving Grace', and a couple of singles - High Tension Line and Victoria... I am obsessed with "SPOLTAAAH VIGTORNAAAH CHAALDAAH" off TNSG.

I can listen to 'totally wired' on loop for so long, I did it for like 5 hours a few months ago. It's got so much fucking energy, it makes me want to instantly dance like a fucking tapper. Love it.
