Jazzanova, basically anything by them, but for specific tracks check out 'Takes you back' (unexpected dub) from the 'In Between' album, as well as 'No wasted time (feat. Vikter Duplaix)' from the same album if you like Fender Rhodes' (although that track should come with a 'slick butter-warning') (it's from the same album btw).

matmos...indie+electonics, otto von schierach+most beta bodega/schematic stuff, some miles davis (bitches brew) or coltrane (stellar regions) sun ra is fun any time...(the singles collection), and still an everyday treat is parliament, funkadelic, syl johnson and the great great great rick james!

Simian. Their last album on Source is a mix of lovely 60s Beach Boys style harmonising with analogue synths & krautrock rhythms.
Xinlisupreme - ANGRY japanese noise kids. Sound a bit like early Jesus & Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine etc, but updated via Merzbow.

agoraphobic nosebleed: "frozen corpse stuffed with dope" - manic grindcore with guitars, bass and a drum computer, in case you're mad at your boss.
also been diggin lately: El-P: "Fantastic Damage"
Sensational: "Loaded with Power", both is hiphop.
Cephalic Carnage: everything you can get your hands on, very weird grindcore with lyrics about implanting marihuana genes in mice, detailed descriptions of infections, smoking weed in general, serial killers who butcher peace loving aliens who actually wanted to save the planet earth...you get the idea...
Another very good band: Converge. Actually my favourite guitar band at the moment. Everything recommended except "Caring and Killing", that sucks a bit, but it the debut anyway.
I know I fall a bit out of place here, but you said "every genre"...so, here I go...

and is that Gigalo comp worth buying?.. looked for it ( as a download ) after i heard kitten play that fatrucker track.. is it any good ? i kinda try to stay away from gigalo after the kremkraft 3000 'scandal' and now the fischerspooner sell-out..

Bounty killer- Art of War/ The mystery :after the embarrasment of the no doubt collaboration bounty is back with proper dancehall ragga fierceness
Jonh Zorn-IAO music in sacred light: "inspired in part by the works of Aleister Crowley (the infamous satan worshipper) and his magickal disciple, filmaker Kenneth Anger...this ranges from hypnotic exotica, ritualistic percussion, death metal, ambient, electronica and a stunning piece for female choir" well, thats what it says on the sleeve, excellent music to listen in the dark.

@mux - sorry the new berzerker album is called dissimulate, he is a mate from melbourne, they (his band) R fukkin super evil.. and their drummer just unofficially broke the worlds fastest hands record! With 1148 single strokes in 1 minute.thats fast. he writes trax that range from 666bpm - 3000bpm - he is a reall nutter and when not writting metal/eating mcdonalds he writes happy hardcore...I SHIT U NOT...
@ marolo -Jonh Zorn-IAO music in sacred light... sounds very wikked. i love his stuff!!

I think everybody should have 1 Fall-record at least!
No doubt about that. Extricate is a good starter.
Sheridan
19th September 2002, 03:10
there is no way that drummer had 1148 single strokes in a minute. that is 19 hits a second!! and their tracks cant be 666 - 3000 bpm. someone is bullshitting you!!
even if it was possible all it would sound like is hum. kinda hard to gauge what beat you are on and when the changes are going to come.

I went to the site and listened to some of the stuff. it just sounds like a drum roll. I mean it IS fast, but not as fast as that guy is saying. also a lot of it you can tell is a drum machine along with the drummer. so I don't know...
I think I will stick to good ol slayer, and when I'm in the mood for real evil shit, deicide's first album. hail satan! and all that jazz.lol

@sheridan...hahaha brilliant!! that artikle is a classik. umm why was'nt weird al yankovich's drummer the referee?? the drummer from berzerker uses triggers, so yeh it (on purpose) sounds like a drum machine. i still go to slayer for my truely back communions tho i like berzerkers stupidity.

this nite i do (and will) work overtime (means getting no sleep).
so this therd come just came along the right way.
most of the recommendet name i just don't know, but if the names i know i just figured out, that music with a jazzy touch or hiphop / guitar styles music seems the right stuff to come through the day. well i very suggest (like others on this thread) fucked up music like vogels specific momentific (what a name for theeeese state!) or the body mapping / rescate 137 score!
hmm. i think it difficult to go with global communication or dj shadow (endtroducing..), because of the sleeping risk in this state. on the other hand can this music be VERY VERY interesing when aching of too much reality. =)

no this mix was pretty rough stuff. jacking chicago beats and some 303 lines. the tape is from 97 so he may have changed up a bit.

have you ever heard dj assault "off the chain for the y2k??"
I got that and was severely dissapointed.
all the tracks are sped up so much. he plays juan atkins "no ufos" on 45 and it sounds like shit. also with stupid voice overs of him on the phone. not impressed at all.
wheezer
22nd September 2002, 14:54
in fact godfather drops no ufos at highspeed as well in the mix I mentioned, didn't really bother me though, and there are the voiceovers as well, but that's just in the hiphop stylee... I did hear a demf set of assault and that didn't really impress me that much technically...
Sheridan
22nd September 2002, 20:02

when i was in detroit for DEMF I kept hearing old dance mania shit on the radio played at 45 and wondered if this was something new... they called it booty, and it is HUGE at the moment!
Lady E
24th September 2002, 11:03
we saw magic mike a few years ago and he was playing all those dancemania tracks fast, wasnt that great to be honest
i was excited because i love those tunes even sped up..."pump that ass move those thighs let me see you butterfly" etc!
karitek
24th September 2002, 11:47
yeah, i have been caning that streets album as well.
i have seen quite a few of the booty folks at some of the wide nights in london and the only one to really impress me was godfather. and he really really did impress me...i good mix up of classic house tracks, with the chicago booty ones and some quality electro. and i am a complete sucker for that hip hop style of mixing (i think he had 2 copies of almost every tune he put on).
assault i thought was weak. he did some MCing over the top which was crap and he just played loads of the booty tracks which can get a bit tiring. i have heard a cd that he recently put out as well and was equally disappointed.
cheers y'all for the recomendations...have been slowly working on checking them all out :)
