i want toys for xmas. it's funny...my dad really wants me to have kids soon just because it'd be an excuse for him to buy toys again. i love my dad - he's one of the biggest kids i know.

gotta say i never liked playmobil much. you just can't do enough with that stuff. but i allways loved my lego as a kid, i remember lots of starships and other odd vehicles appearing on my carpet back then. it's the most inspiring toys i can think of, straight modular. what more can a child want?

has anyone had a touch on that lego technics stuff that you can somewhat program, like building your own robot that wanders through your livingroom? i was tempted to get me some of that but resisted cos its pretty expensive.

yeah acually i have played with that program thing. they used to have a demo of it up. a friend has the full setup with that technics thing. looks like a ton of fun. simple code, based on their own sytax, but still cool.

i remember some of the kids that i grew up with had a huge playmobil village that they would set up every Xmas. It realy was a village, it took up their whole living room and had a working train, must of had at least 20 different buildings and who knows how many people. it was great.

playmobil is so good. only has a little bit as a child (when it was called Play People) so bought my Nieces shed loads of it - of course all the non-violent stuff like the farm, shop and emergency services. like the dragon and I'm not sure if pirates are counted as toys that condone violence?

Apparently kids have come up with some amazingly innovative solutions that robotics researchers were amazed by as a result of those lego kits becoming available. University research departments have actually invested in loads of the lego sets as it is much cheaper than building robots from scratch.

i had the pirate ship as a kid- it was pretty awesome. and had naked ladies on the heraldry. adventures were mainly non-violent and revolved around getting sucked into otherdimensions through whirlpool/dimension portals in the pattern of the carpet. and tidal waves. nothing to fear.

i used to have a technics set, but it was too heavy for me. i couldn't be arsed with it. i think my dad built me a car on xmas day, then i just played with that for about 2 months, dismantled it then never looked at it again

Sheridan

yes. the ending was alright, basically a set up for halo 3.
I need to finish it on legendary mode now to see if they add any extra stuff like they did in the original halo.
