I just wanted to let everyone know who may not that there is an amazing documentry that is trying to come out called freestyle: the art of rhyme. it is directed by kevin fitzgerald. I was lucky enough to see this film tonight and meet the director at my school. he is playing it at schools and independent film festivals, etc. he is trying to raise money to get some of the music cleared and released everywhere in theatres. he has been showing it overseas as well (he just got back from finland and sweden). so I urge everyone to keep their ears and eyes peeled, if you hear about it playing near you do yourself a favor and go see it. and if anyone here maybe able to help get it shown at any art theatres or clubs or anywhere that supports independent arts, I urge you to contact the film makers to get something going. the film is all about freestyle mcing and shows where it got started and what it is all about. it features mos def, black thought, juice, supernatural, craig g, otherwize, medusa, wordsworth, the last poets, and tons of other unknown cats. check for it! thanks.
